Never would have found this place without the recommendation from another traveler. The smoked whitefish dip was so good. It's a small place, so they can only allow 3 people in store at a time & 1 from each party. Folks working were friendly. See more..
  7. 4.5 Ciolinos (28 reviews)
    - Fruit and Veggies galore!!
Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
This is a good place for one to get their produce. It is both fresh and at a very reasonable price. It is a fun place to shop, it is always crowded and for the most part are very friendly and the workers helpful. I'm there every week to get my produce. I'm use to the place by now. They have very large potatoes that make very large and long French Fries. Cut them thick and enjoy something very good. This is where I get my eggs, bananas and pineapple. Can't say enough about them. See more..
  8. 5.0 Boyne City Farmer's Market (24 reviews)
    - Enjoyable Time spent

    Boyne City Farmer's Market image
While spending out vacation in northern Michigan, we had the opportunity to attend the Boyne City Farmer's Market. I enjoy the chance to visit with local famers and craftsmen to compare with the markets seen in Texas. The products are similar, and the people are just as friendly as those where we live. the Boyne market happens twice weekly, and the midweek market is slightly smaller than the Saturday market. The midweek market was roughly 35 vendors. See more..

  12. 4.5 Nelson's Farm Market (15 reviews)
    - Great fall farm market for families on a budget.
Sunday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Farmers Markets
Honestly, this is not the BEST farm market around to visit in the fall. But we think it is the best one you can visit for FREE. So many places charge you just to wander around now, but Nelson's doesn't. There is a barn with critters to look at, tractors to play and pose on, a u-pick pumpkin patch, and bins of every variety of apple to dig through for purchase. (Wear old shoes, the barn area can be quite a mess.) One time in many years of visits, the kids got a wagon ride here, but don't go there expecting it. Nelson's let you pull their wagons around to fill with your pumpkins, mums, and fruit. There is a bakery in the back of the market-but skip it! Just down the road on M-37 is the Hilltop Bakery, and their donuts are better! If you go with kids, plan on spending about an hour. Go when it has been dry for a few days or you will be wading through ankle-deep mud. And find a bathroom nearby before you go there, otherwise you'll have to use the port-a-john. See more..
  13. 4.5 The Frankenmuth Farmers Market (11 reviews)
    - Great little Farmers market
Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
    The Frankenmuth Farmers Market image
Cute store with Michigan themed items that is open all year round. As for the outside Farmers market, it's open Wednesdays and Saturdays in the summer and has many fruits, veggies, normal farm market items. The donuts from Butter crust bakery are fantastic! It annoys me that someone gave it two stars because they went in December and only the store was open. Ummm.... There's no outdoor farmers market in Michigan where you're going to pick up fresh corn in December! People are weird. Prices are a bit more expensive than you'd find at a roadside stand, but not terrible. See more..

  19. 3.5 Fresh Thyme (5 reviews)
    - Best Affordable Fresh Floral Arrangements
Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
    Fresh Thyme image
After visiting a local well established floral department, I decided to give Fresh Thyme in Rochester Hills, MI a try too. I generally shop at the Troy location, so I thought it would be perfect to visit part of the produce sections and floral areas. I felt a little parched, so I went straight to the cooled beverage area to get a LIFE WTR. To my dismay, the price in the fridge was not the same as my receipt. After making a unique gift card purchase for a customer in the next isle, I believe this was that staff members first gift card exchange with another shopper. This unique experience was beneficial to both isles. The flowers I got were so pretty. I cannot wait until they fully bloom. You cannot beat the beauty of that arrangement for the price of $14.99. Perfect. See more..
  20. 4.5 Nottawa Fruit Farm (3 reviews)

    Nottawa Fruit Farm image
Whenever we are in town we always stop by and get pies. They offer them fresh baked or frozen to take home and enjoy at a later date. Their crust is amazing. They offer all the standards plus a signature pie featuring peaches, blueberries, and cherries which is AMAZING. They also sell some fresh local produce, preserves, honey, and candy. This time we were hoping to catch their short strawberry u-pick season but were a few days too late. See more..

  25. 4.0 Kurzhals' Farms (1 review)
    - Behind the Stone
    Spent 1-2 hours Farmers Markets
    Kurzhals' Farms image
Kurtzhals’ Farms is a great place to visit and shop. I enjoy being there. The layout of this nursery and farm is very easy to navigate. Great wide aisles and plenty of merchandise. I was very pleased with the health of the plants that we were looking at. When I got the plants home and put them in the soil they established themselves quickly and maintained their vigor. They don’t seem to force the plants and that’s great. When a nursery does that when you get the great looking plant home you could find yourself with a sad, wilting plant the next day that you need to bring back to health. Their displays are quaint, simple, well done and bring out the beauty and interest of what they are selling without overwhelming the shopper with price tag mania. If you have young children keep an eye on them. It is a working farm and therefore presents some of the hazards to be found at any farm. The place is kept clean, it is well lit and has suitable parking. It is easy in and out of the parking lot, but watch for traffic, of course, because it’s a two lane road just outside. Look for the great big stone sign on the corner and you can’t miss it! See more..
  26. 5.0 Cadillac Farmer's Market (1 review)
    - Really Outstanding Market
    Sunday: Farmers Markets
    Cadillac Farmer's Market image
We happened upon the Farmer's Market when taking an unscheduled tour of Cadillac. The venue is not large, maybe 15-20 vendors but the selection of produce was local and outstanding. What made it special was the variety of produce. One vendor specialized in peppers, another had colored cauliflower (the first I had seen), et another specialized in heirloom tomatoes. All of them had great selections of farm fresh fruits and vegetables at great prices! There is ample parking nearby and you are just a few steps from a lovely pedestrian walkway next to lake Cadillace. See more..
