MSU's huge country-like campus offers a lovely setting for running, biking or just hanging out, and also has places to visit, like the Beal Botanical Gardens, Sanford Natural Area, the 70,000-capacity Spartan football stadium, an art center, planetarium and, of course, the MSU Dairy Store for ice cream. It makes you want to go to Law School here at U of M...the Law Quadrangle is just such a beautiful historic complex, everything about it just exudes magnificent workmanship and old time beauty. The grounds are shady on a hot summer day and you just look at the details on all the buildings and you are in awe. So lovely. The Student Union is across the street so go get a lunch or coffee and come sit in the quad and take in the beauty. You won't be disappointed. See more..

The Bat Zone is home to over 100 bats from around the world. Surrounding the Bat Zone are three hundred acres of woodland trails, a glacial boulder path, and pole-mounted bat houses. The Bat Zone is open to guests that attend an "Incredible Bats" live bat program. I went to the bat zone to see the live bat's - including vampire bats! The volunteers show great enthusiasm and have a passion for bats. When you travel to SE Michigan, check out the zone. Dave Critter Catchers See more..

We've done three shows here and I'm waiting for the next one. The last one we saw was the Nutcracker, so much fun with the old tunes and characters resembling so many famous persons. Loved it! See more..

    - Peaceful immersion in nature

The trails are loops which makes it nice, you can pick a short walk or a longer excursion. It was beautiful, the sound of chipmunks sounding a warning because of the nearby peregrine falcon, a variety of birds and running water. I wanted a place to do a quick exploration of nature by myself and it was perfect. The building was closed when I got there so I can't comment on that, but the trails were fantastic. See more..

    University of Michigan Flint image
I am very proud to be UM-Flint alumni. I worked on a project to build a better wind tunnel in my senior design class. I have been to other universities as both a student and visitor, and I have never seen a senior project that approached this level. It was remarkable to get the funding for an undergraduate project of this size. This wind tunnel demonstrates the capabilities of UM-Flint mechanical engineering students to design-build-test a complex system that is also useful as laboratory test equipment. See more..

Great place to take young kids on a nice day. Only $3 admission for adults and kids are free. Chose to do a one mile loop hike, that went up and over a A frame bridge, down a narrow boardwalk next to a pond, and back through the forest and by an observation tower that looked over another pond. Saw lots of birds and it was just a nice way to get kids to experience nature. Biggest hit with the kids was the nature center. They have some tanks of turtles and frogs, plus a huge touch table where kids can touch lots of furs and animal bones. Located about ten minutes from downtown Metamora. Well signed and you have to travel about a mile down a dirt road. Went in April before the bugs came out. May need bug spray if going in the summer. See more..
