Bat Zone at Cranbrook

The Bat Zone is home to over 100 bats from around the world. Surrounding the Bat Zone are three hundred acres of woodland trails, a glacial boulder path, and pole-mounted bat houses. The Bat Zone is open to guests that attend an "Incredible Bats" live bat program. I went to the bat zone to see the live bat's - including vampire bats! The volunteers show great enthusiasm and have a passion for bats. When you travel to SE Michigan, check out the zone. Dave Critter Catchers

    The kids loved it!
I recently went here with my Sister and two nieces (aged 3 and 6) and we had a wonderful time! I had not been here before, so I did not know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised and I am glad we checked this place out. My 6-year-old niece loved the Dino exhibit and doing the scavenger hunt. It really got her engaged. My 3-year-old niece seemed to love The Story of Us with its hologram videos through out the presentation. Both loved looking at the rocks and minerals as well as the little experiment area. It was a lot bigger than I thought and we didn’t have enough time to see everything, so we will definitely be back when they come to visit again! Also ate at the café, which had surprisingly good food!

    Science shown in Scenic Surrounding
Drove up at the recommendation of a hobby friend. easy to access using GPS. The winding drive on a sunny day made me almost park at the entrance and walk to the museum. Parking and access were easy and convenient. Inside, signage could be improved. My focus was the mineralogy and geology sections. The exhibits are a bit dated in form and layout but the contents are worth seeing.
