  8. 4.5 Dinosaur Gardens (52 reviews)
    - Let your inner kid run wild

    Dinosaur Gardens image
No need to be a little kid to go have fun amongst the dinos. My boyfriend and I had a blast here. This property is spacious with a large winding trail that guides you around a couple dozen dinosaurs, all but one of which is in great shape. They have dino facts at every station and it's easy to get up close and examine how these cool relics were made (mostly painstakingly shaped concrete, but the pterodactyl hanging from a tree appeared to be wooden). You can climb inside the brontosaurus, which -- oddly had a statue of the three wise men in the tail and a portrait of Jesus. The park doesn't espouse creationism per se, but the original maker was religious and believed the 7 days were metaphorical days and dinosaurs were an early creation, thus the religious symbols. The putt putt course was also dinosaur themed, which some in the shape of a dinosaur and others more subtle. The price was reasonable. I think we paid $16 for two people to golf and see the dinos. 9. 5.0 Glenlore Trails (14 reviews)
    - Fun for toddlers

    Glenlore Trails image
My 2 year old son loved it. The sensory play was through the roof! I highly recommend it for a well rested toddler that doesn't mind staying up after his bedtime. My son is a hiker but I would recommend an off road stroller/wagon for little ones that just like to take it in and enjoy the scenery. NO bugs for July. I'm guessing they spray? See more..

  11. 5.0 WHR Six Gun Territory (4 reviews)
    - Grab yer guns!
    Amusement & Theme Parks
Took my 10 year old son and his best friend to Six Guns Territory. They loved it! The pony rides was a first for both. They panned for gold for at least 20 minutes. Finding several pieces and deciding which one they would "trade in" at the general store for some goods. You can dress up and have a photo taken. One of the best hayrides, seeing all of the birds, and maybe a glimpse of a deer now and then. They have a nice menu for a quick lunch, and a variety of free games the kids can try. See more..
