Let your inner kid run wild

No need to be a little kid to go have fun amongst the dinos. My boyfriend and I had a blast here. This property is spacious with a large winding trail that guides you around a couple dozen dinosaurs, all but one of which is in great shape. They have dino facts at every station and it's easy to get up close and examine how these cool relics were made (mostly painstakingly shaped concrete, but the pterodactyl hanging from a tree appeared to be wooden). You can climb inside the brontosaurus, which -- oddly had a statue of the three wise men in the tail and a portrait of Jesus. The park doesn't espouse creationism per se, but the original maker was religious and believed the 7 days were metaphorical days and dinosaurs were an early creation, thus the religious symbols. The putt putt course was also dinosaur themed, which some in the shape of a dinosaur and others more subtle. The price was reasonable. I think we paid $16 for two people to golf and see the dinos.

Vintage sculpture park in a virgin timber setting
We only did the path walk. I first came here decades ago as a child and was so pleased to see how well-maintained the dinosaur sculptures are. One is presently in the process of being repaired, but all the others were in good condition. The big ostrich ferns, old timber, and winding river make for a pleasant, shady walk as well as a lovely backdrop for the dinosaurs. Farm enthusiasts will also discover a couple of old tractors displayed on site, which were apparently used by the gentleman who built the park. Note: I visited with a senior family member, but the drop-down list only allowed selections of family members who are teens or young children. The path is perfectly manageable for able-bodied seniors.

    Dinosaur Garden
The Trail you walk makes you feel like the dinosaurs were recently there! If you take the narrated tour, you learn so much and laugh so hard! Lots of other good things to do like putt putt putt golf, a sliuce to pan for gems and ice cream. I hear there will be new things in 2019!
