Went today and had a great time. Was matched with a well trained mount that knew leg commands and neck reined. The guide (Sheryl) worn a head set so we could hear her speaking as we rode the trails. Walked and trotted and she made sure that everyone felt comfortable doing these gaits. The ride was over an hour, and was worth every penny. Inexpensive private lessons $20 per hour that we purchased in March. They one schedule one week in advanced. The judgement call made to keep our daughters private lesson when her instructor was no longer available while was disappointing. As our child became distracted and leaned on the horse the person overseeing was multitasking and not watching. Therefore the horse moved and stepped on our childs foot. Our lesson should have been cancelled when staff is not available. Thankfully the only part of her foot that was hurt is the big toe. We have an appointment with the poditrist upon our return home from vacation. We cancelled our remaining lessons and the owner refused to issue a refund.
