Short but sweet
We went to this gallery specifically to see the two pieces by John Running-Johnson, some of whose work we had had the pleasure of seeing in Kalamazoo. That was very rewarding in itself, and then we met the live installation, Phoenix... she makes a very good exhibit, but was also wonderfully friendly and cuddly once she got off the plinth. I hope she has a long and happy life and brings joy to all gallery-goers.

good art
We were there for the annual arts fair in a park on the river, and it was really nice. Many of the booths were in the shade of the big trees so that was helpful on a hot day, and they had a lot of unique artists there. The Center also has a lot of interesting local artists, and it is worth a stop.
