Beautiful scenery...and a nice place to stop and linger!!
On our way back home from a day in MIchigan's Thumb, we stopped by the Swinging Bridge in Croswell. It had been years since our last visit. And this one did not disappoint! Walking over the bridge is a bit of a thrill, especially when others are on the bridge and it's swinging ever so slightly!! On this perfect June evening about 7pm, as the sun was starting to go down behind the tall trees, the sunlight on the water, along with the beautiful blue sky reflecting up at us, and some water lily pads beneath us near the shoreline made for the most beautiful scene, reminiscent of Monet's water lilies paintings! Definitely a nice place to stop and linger.... Bring out your lawn chairs and a picnic blanket to relax and enjoy some snacks. Plenty of room for the family to play in the park too!!

Off the Beaten Path Playground for Kids of All Ages
Super cool spot to hang out if you can swing it (see what I did there?). The kids, ages 6-14 all had a blast. Can a local explain the "be nice to your mother in law" sign above the bridge? I thought maybe you'd be cursed if you crossed and you aren't indeed nice to your mother in law so I decided not to cross (just kidddding).

Can't plan a day around it
The bridge is a fun attraction and the park is beautifully well kept and scenic but there is really nothing else to do in Croswell so plan to go to Lexington as well to keep the day going.
