    Suttons Bay Bike Trail
We rented bikes at Traverse City park and took the bike trail up to Sutton's Bay. The map said 17 miles so we figured that would take a couple hours on regular bikes, we would stop when we got there, enjoy the town and eat, then bike back to Traverse City. What we DID NOT know was the trail heading to Sutton's Bay was mostly uphill. Even though it was a gradual climb it was nonetheless 90% uphill and what we thought would have been a 2 hour ride ended up taking us about 3.5+ hours. It was simply exhausting but one of the most beautiful trails I've ever been on and loved the scenery all the way. Had it not been for that I would have bailed and headed back. Along the way you cross through some beautiful farm land, winery country and we even found a young man selling lemonade which was mush welcomed since we did not plan for that long ride. Once we got to Sutton's Bay and eat we just didn't have enough time to bike back because the sun was going down so thankfully there is a bus that you can catch that allows bikes onboard. We got the last bus back to TC and the bike rental place just in time for closing. If there's a next time, I will rent a motorized bike, LOL

Nice Walk Along Boardman Lake Trail
My wife and I enjoyed a walk along the Boardman Lake Loop Trail, a component of the TART network. We began at Medalie Park and walked up to the northern-most portion of the trail. The trail was largely shaded. The trail is predominantly flat with a few minor elevation changes. The trail provides great viewing opportunities of the lake.
