Window on the Waterfront, Michigan, United States

What a hidden gem!

This wasn’t the easiest part to find the entrance and parking, but once we got in and were able to connect the trail lengths, we thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a charming park and I wouldn’t mind going back to bicycle the areas we didn’t get to. There are plenty of benches along the way, and partially shaded walkways.

When the tulips are in bloom...WOW
First, let me say we visited in late April when the tulips are in their full glory. There are two entries into this park with one near the tulip beds. A nice biking/walking/hiking trail that runs along the waterfront. An overlook allows visitors to take in the marsh and the ducks and birds that are in that area. No charge for entry or for parking. We had a very pleasant visit.

    Views of Windmill
There are well kept flower beds along this walking and biking trail. You can see the windmill from Windmill Island here. We saw some swans and ducks here as well as other birds. Parking is free. A pleasant walk right in downtown.
