Fantastic biking trail from Alabaster to Tawas City
Park at the bike trail parking lot at Dyer Road east side of US-23 and ride north. Ride through the old U.S. Gypsum property with views of the lake, gypsum crib and wooded areas you can't see from US-23. 7 1/2 mile paved trail into Tawas City and you can bike all the way to Tawas State Park. They have QR codes posted on trees so you can scan and learn about the forest.

What a great ride!
This is an app. 6 mile ride through the town of Alabaster. It is a wide asphalt walkway that at times, wends through the woods or follows alongside U.S. 23. It is immaculately maintained with great scenery and views of the lake. Mostly flat with some slight elevations at times. It's an easy ride and very enhoyable!

Lovely Path
Stretches from Tawas south to Alabaster, winding through trees. Many spots to pull off and relax, and many trees are marked with species identification tags. Great way to spend a few hours in nature.
