A great place to watch the sun and water

This is a really beautiful park with a boardwalk, benches a boxcar, a nice view of Canada and a statue of Thomas Edison himself. It’s a gorgeous place to exercise, fish or just sit and watch the sun, the boats and the beautiful blue water where Lake Huron meets the St. Clair River. We are from the Erie County, Ohio area, where Edison was born, so we got to compare the statues!

    Amazing View
We came to Port Huron and stayed at the Double Tree hotel right at the Blue Water bridge and easy access to the Thomas Edison Parkway Boardwalk. Unbelievable blue water and an awesome view of the American/Canadian Blue Water Bridge. Several barges and ships passed by as we walked on the boardwalk along the St. Clair River and the mouth of Lake Huron. People fishing, riding bikes and having picnics. The weather was beautiful while we were there and enjoyed the museums at both ends of the boardwalk. The Thomas Edison Museum and the Huron Lightship Museum. We had a wonderful time, you must walk on the Thomas Edison Boardwalk when you come to Port Huron.

    Great walk along the river
We walked from one end to another, it was a very nice walk, hoping to see some freighters. Were not disappointed and saw at least 2 on this walk. It was clean and had plenty of benches to rest on. The only thing not good is it was in the middle 90's and there are no drinking fountains along the way. The park may have some, and the Edison museum has drinks to buy. Other than that it was great.
