  7. 5.0 Painting With a Twist (1 review)
    - If I can paint, you can, too!
Spent 1-2 hours Paint & Pottery Studios
    Painting With a Twist image
This was my first time painting at Painting with a Twist. Took a lot of arm-twisting to get me in there because I do not have a creative bone in body. Well, it didn't matter. I am hooked. My class was fun and the instructor was great. She took all of us through the painting, step-by-step. This isn't a stuffy art environment. In fact, their claim to fame is that it's FUN art, not fine art, lol. So true. Music and games are played during breaks. It's really relaxing. It's also a BYOB studio. You bring the drinks and snacks....they take care of the rest. I plan on going back once a month. My treat to myself. And the best thing is you can come alone or with any number of people.....and leave an artist. Try it. You won't regret it! See more..
  8. 4.5 Blue Water Bridge (417 reviews)
    - Unique twin international bridge
    Bridges
    Blue Water Bridge image
The Blue Water Bridge is simply stunning for the way it looks and the views across the St. Clair River when crossing the bridge. We crossed the bridge twice over the weekend when driving to and from Toronto during our one day Michigan trip. During our return we saw a ship passing under the bridge. We could not capture the views because there are signs on the bridge not to use one’s cellphone. Not sure if this covers cameras but we preferred to play safe and take no photographs. The parks and other tourist areas under the bridge must be very nice to visit but we left this for another time. Munir D. See more..

  11. 4.5 Blue Water River Walk (132 reviews)
    - Enjoyable Visit
Spent 1-2 hours Scenic Drives • Jogging Paths & Tracks
    Blue Water River Walk image
My significant other and I decided to spend some time in Port Huron and while we were there we decided to drop by the Blue Water River Walk. The River Walk is an almost one mile long walk along the beautiful St. Claire River. There is a variety of local art work along the entire walk that is nice to look at. One of the areas biggest attractions is the conservation efforts. The area had been ravaged by industry and a lot of local wildlife has been affected by this. To help combat this the walk has a variety of areas for wildlife to have a safe harbor. One of the coolest areas is near the end of the walk where the wetlands is located. Definitely worth the walk and time spent here, especially to see some history of how the city used to look. See more..

    Thomas Edison Depot Museum image
Why such a small museum for a giant of US inventors. David Dazer the manager/guide is par excellence with his expert knowledge who ensures that if you have time he will take you thro every inch. So much to see, including overhead model train and the attached railway carriage on the outside and much. much more. We actually had to leave for our boat trip but then came back. I would have been really disappointed not to have completed the visit to my satisfaction as chances of return not good from Scotland. See more..

Awesome clean beach. BRING WATER SHOES! There are lots of little rocks closer to the shoreline. It did not seem to both most people but I'm glad we packed water shoes. Water is clear and clean. It is a great location to watch sailboats, large shipping freighters, and more. The gate was open so we were able to park in the lot for free. But roadside parking is very close and also an option. Makes sense it is found near the Amtrac station. Interesting historical marker says that there was a plot during WWI to blow it up. I will attach photos when TA makes it possible. See more..
