-Smooth Sailing on Lake Champlain
Saturday: Historical & Heritage Tours • Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Boat Rentals
We had the most wonderful time on a classic sloop called Friend Ship yesterday sailing with Diddy and Yeo out of Burlington, VT. After a quick, but thorough safety talk, we set sail on what the Captain called a “Goldilocks”day with perfect wind conditions. Diddy and Yeo worked seamlessly together to give us the smoothest sail we have ever experienced. The 2 hr trip was filled with interesting facts and lore about Lake Champlain and the surrounding area. We ate our lunch and then enjoyed putting our feet in the water as we explored the lake. If you plan on visiting the Burlington area, we highly recommend making a reservation online. We got one of the last time slots available for the week we visited so reserve early and don’t miss out. It was definitely a highlight of our vacation and we will be back next year. See more..

- 5.0 Great Bike Tours (419 reviews)
-Best Vacation Ever!
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Bike Tours
From the very first night when we met our guides Simon, Elliot, and John in Dunedin, to the last day of the trip in Christchurch, our group was transported across the south island of New Zealand with comfort and care. The hotel accommodations and the food was the best that could be had in each of our locations. The experiences provided were unique and unforgettable. The care and concern of our guides for each traveler was genuine. The team changed bike pedals and seats, and worked hard to provide each of us with a comfortable ride according to our needs. Some guests were reluctant to try new experiences, but found themselves being delighted by the persistence and leadership of our guides that ushered them through activities they'd never done before. The exceptional planning and professionalism of GBT made this trip worth every penny. See more..
- 5.0 City Brew Tours Burlington (401 reviews)
-A must-do in Burlington for craft beer lovers!
Saturday: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM Beer Tastings & Tours
My husband and I did the Classic Brew Tour through Burlington yesterday, and we could not be more impressed with the City Brew Tours experience - the caliber of the tour itself, the breweries we visited, and our tour guide all exceeded our expectations. The cost was more than reasonable for the beer and food that were included. The booking process was simple and smooth; the tour ran efficiently without us feeling rushed. Our guide, Kianna, was warm, funny, knowledgeable, and made the experience memorable. Her narration of the history of beer in between stops was humorous and educational! Lastly, each of the breweries we visited were welcoming and friendly, and the brews and food we sampled were top-notch. I would not hesitate to recommend City Brew Tours to anyone looking to enjoy local craft brews in a fun, unique way without worrying about driving. See more..
- 5.0 Burlington Segways (359 reviews)
-The Burlington Segway tour covers a lot of distance like a hop-on-hop-off tour but with the intimacy of a walking tour.
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Segway Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours
Rick’s knowledge and oration of Burlington’s history while touring around on the Segway was equivalent to watching a great documentary on the city. We learned how to navigate with the Segway and I would put the experience up there with the best Hop-on-hop-off tour. It is a must if you are coming in to Burlington. See more..

- 4.5 Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home (1.421 reviews)
-We Fell in love with Hildene!
Closed now Historic Sites • History Museums
This home is magical! I can't believe we did not make the day trip sooner! Hildene was only an hour's drive for us from the Albany area, but honestly I would have driven hours to see this beauty! The area is charming, and our entire experience was worth every penny of the very reasonable admission fee for a self guided tour. The entire day, from the lovely gift shop to the fantastic docents in the house, was wonderful! My favorite thing about the house was the 1908 pipe organ that played every 15 minutes! It's something you really have to experience! It was also cool to see Lincoln's top hat & mirror from the White House dressing room. My only regret was that we missed the Pullman car, which I hear is a must see (but we will be back)! I wish we had allowed more time. We ended up spending a lot of time in the gardens because they were so spectacular. The views were breathtaking! Don't miss out on seeing Hildene. One of my new favorite places! See more..

- 4.5 Quechee Gorge (1.031 reviews)

Canyons • Geologic Formations
If you're visiting Vermont, don't miss Quechee Gorge, also known as the state's "Grand Canyon." The 165-foot gorge cuts through the Ottauquechee River and is the crown jewel of Quechee State Park. The park offers easy hiking trails on both sides of the gorge, and camping and kayaking are popular activities here too, making it an ideal destination for outdoor lovers. The best time to visit is during the fall when the foliage colors are at their peak. Be sure to visit the gift shop and the nearby Vermont Toy Museum, both of which are within walking distance from the park's entrance. – Tripadvisor See more..
- 4.5 Cold Hollow Cider Mill (1.023 reviews)
-Great tourist stop!
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Factory Tours
If you are visiting this area during the fall foliage, I would assume this would be a must stop! My only negative is apparently everyone else knows that too! It was very busy. Multiple tour buses get off here, so I recommend to get here early so you can beat the crowds! The apple cider donuts are the main attraction, but they have a lot of things to shop for souvenirs as well. You can make this a long stop if you want, or can just do a quick one and grab some donuts and cider! See more..

- 4.5 Vermont Teddy Bear Company (605 reviews)
-Adorable inside and out
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Private Tours • Factory Tours • Bus Tours
Love the cute photo props outside and brightly painted facade. We went Sunday morning and it was empty. The lack of variety was a little disappointing, but... not sure disappointing as the lack of quality. My expectations were set up too high by the outside appearance. There were couple of t-shirt styles and couple of sweat shirt styles, neither with an embroidery (just print). When trying to choose a bear, we stuck to the traditional, small $39.99 one. Unfortunately, 6 hours later, one of the eyes fell out. It appeared that the glue was never placed to hold it. It's a pretty serious issue to try an explain to a 10 y.o. who spend an hour picking a bear with the "right face" and "the best eye color". Not sure how this will end, but still waiting to hear from the customer service about the "Bear Hospital " arrangement. It could've been a great experience... See more..
