-Hidden Gem
History Museums
Why such a small museum for a giant of US inventors. David Dazer the manager/guide is par excellence with his expert knowledge who ensures that if you have time he will take you thro every inch. So much to see, including overhead model train and the attached railway carriage on the outside and much. much more. We actually had to leave for our boat trip but then came back. I would have been really disappointed not to have completed the visit to my satisfaction as chances of return not good from Scotland. See more..
- 4.5 Thomas Edison Parkway Boardwalk (68 reviews)
-A great place to watch the sun and water
Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails • Scenic Drives • Jogging Paths & Tracks
This is a really beautiful park with a boardwalk, benches a boxcar, a nice view of Canada and a statue of Thomas Edison himself. It’s a gorgeous place to exercise, fish or just sit and watch the sun, the boats and the beautiful blue water where Lake Huron meets the St. Clair River. We are from the Erie County, Ohio area, where Edison was born, so we got to compare the statues! See more..

Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Often now more crowded than ever, the secret must be out about this sandy beach and its recent upgrades. However, if it becomes too crowded with boaters off shore, it may be better to go to one of the no-frills beaches to the north on Gratiot. Also, a visit on a warm day in Fall or Spring is refreshing. -Great!
Parks
Awesome clean beach. BRING WATER SHOES! There are lots of little rocks closer to the shoreline. It did not seem to both most people but I'm glad we packed water shoes. Water is clear and clean. It is a great location to watch sailboats, large shipping freighters, and more. The gate was open so we were able to park in the lot for free. But roadside parking is very close and also an option. Kids ages 7 and 9 and we spent 5+ hours there. Will visit again! See more..
