Beautiful trail

We've biked it from down town; and from across the street from La-Haven Trail. Let weekend we walked it from the north end about 5 miles. Forest, grasslands from that end. More urban from the other. Preferred the northern end. Paved and well maintained.

Love this trail but . . .
Love this trail, very clean, safe, take it into Parchment and go to the soft servce ice cream place :) But, beware, last spring took our dog on the trail, noticed "bugs" on our shoes and socks, then realized they were ticks! We took off running back to car - got home, we had to "de'tick" ourselves, but even worse, our dog - she had over 30 ticks on her! I don't know if they spray or have sprayed, but we have not taken the dog back on that section (off of N. Westnedge Ave.) nor have I noticed a tick problem since ( at least later that summer and in fall).

Lush green trail
I was not sure where to park without payin the entry fees at nature center or the Markin park. Found a parking spot right by the road for parking, capacity around 6 cars. Had to walk a couple of miles before the trail actually left the side of the road. Beautiful trail, not many people. Would definitely go again.
