Living across the street from the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail
I generally start from Iowa Street in Alma and ride to Elwell and back. In season, I will occaisionally ride from Alma to Riverdale and back. It is a beautiful trail built where a railroad track once existed. Only minor hills. Lots of wildlife to view as you ride.

Heartland has two parts: 25 mile from Greenville to Edmore, 20 mile from Edmore to Alma. We biked from Edmore to Alma and stayed overnight at Saravilla B&B over night. It's easy and enjoyable. The trail is very smooth most of the time. It's beautiful all along the trail with wild life like turkeys, deer and more...
