White Pine Trail State Park, Michigan, United States

4.5 (76 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Kent County Biking Trails

Great Trail

Love having this so close. Great for walking, bike riding, or walking the dogs. Well kept trails with mostly nice pavement. Lots of different terrain depending on where you are. Nice tree canopy in sections North of Rockford which open up into nice scenery and fields. Some hills but nothing horrible. A good work out or just a leisurely stroll it is a nice setting.

Love the White Pine Trail for Biking
This is our "go-to" spot for a bike ride, an easy 8-9 mile round trip ride to Rockford for dinner, longer for better exercise if we go beyond Rockford or start at the Whitecaps Ball Park (instead of Belmont) - lots of nature, can shop in Rockford (try the farmers market on Sats in the summer/fall), past Rockford you ride along the Rougue River, just wonderful!!

Great place to walk or ride - some spots need repairs
This is a great resource - traffic-free place to walk or exercise - either leisurely or fitness. It is relatively flat with gentle rises. The area up to Cedar Springs is paved but some areas need repairs. It is scenic and connects several small towns if you need to stop for refreshments. I did not see any bike repair stands (e.g., air pump, etc.) near trail heads.
