I wish my city have a boardwalk like this on the river.
What an excellent morning walk. I parked at Bigelow Park and walked all the way to the end of the pier and back. I had my camera, so I did a little birding as I walked. There is march area that the boardwalk goes past and quite a few birds were hanging out. Whoever came of with this idea needs a raise.

Bike and see the sights
We really enjoy biking the trail and have done it several times. It takes you through such a wide variety neighborhoods in Bay City. There are plenty of places to stop and explore, grab a bite to eat or do some shopping if you need to get off your bike. It's fun to plan on making a day of it! Pack a picnic for the ride into town and then stop for drinks on the way back!

Great place to walk or ride a bike
This Riverwalk Trail is part of a 35+ mile bike trail sort of a loop shaped like a noose, that encompasses the Riverwalk, the park some sidewalks and light travelled roads. The trial is mostly marked with arrows when you are on the sidewalk parts. We were lucky to go on a Sunday when others were on the trail and we could ask where we were. Once on the paved trail, maps are at every intersection and several trailheads with facilities are available. We ended up with 32 miles.
