Nice trail

The trail runs along the lake and is really nice. It went basically from my hotel all around the water way leading to the lake. I liked that I could ride to the beach park. It is off the road mostly so that is really nice. I couldn't find a bike rental place, but I am sure there is one somewhere. Luckily I had brought mine planning on riding the trail.

Very Good Bike Trail.
This was probably one of the better bike trails that I've ridden on around the country. The pavement was quite smooth with no cracks. There were quite a few long boardwalks. Path was at least six feet wide.

Wish we had brought our bikes
We stayed at a hotel adjacent to the bike trail, and did some walking on the trail. It goes for miles, and would have been wonderful to explore more distance on a bike. Next time, we'll do that. From downtown Muskegon going north, it parallels a railroad track, passing through a commercial/industrial district along the lake and then to the marshy area where the Muskegon River branches enter the lake. Beautiful boardwalk bridges there, leading into the Muskegon Lake nature preserve before heading west into North Muskegon and beyond.
