5.0Echo Canyon River Expeditions(4.845 reviews) - Awesome Royal Gorge rafting with Echo Canyon Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing
Second time rafting with Echo Canyon. This time we did the Royal Gorge trip and it was amazing. I highly recommend it. Jacob was our guide and he was awesome. The pictures and video they take are priceless and worth the $120. Echo is about an hour from Colorado Springs and definitely worth the trip.See more..
We did a Family Float today and it was fantastic. Allison was my boat’s guide and she was friendly, outgoing, and very knowledgeable about what she was doing. She gave great directions when needed. She also gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area. The information she gave us about the company - when we asked - makes me recommend them even more. The next time we are ready for a rafting tour, AAE will be the first one we look to. Thanks for an awesome trip!See more..
We were on a family trip to Canon City last week and decided to do the Bighorn Sheep all ages rafting trip with Royal Gorge rafting. There were 16 of us from my 8 year old nephew all the way up to my amazing 81 year old father in law! Zachary & Joey were 2 of our guides and they were both amazing! I personally had Zach in my raft guiding us and I really appreciated how he made this anxious 40 something mom relax and enjoy something completely out of my comfort zone. It was an incredible experience and we can’t wait to come back again sometime to try the more advanced rafting trip! Definitely recommend Royal Gorge rafting to anyone who is in the area looking for an adventure!See more..

5.0Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours(2.613 reviews) - Zipline Guides Were AMAZING Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
I’ve never been zip lining before and I was pretty nervous about it. The tour guides that I was zip lining with were nothing short of amazing. Cody and Slo were very knowledgeable, funny and extremely accommodating. They showed that you can do something as fun as this, enjoy the views and love every second of it as well as making it very safe for literally anyone. I met some amazing other people in the group as well. Never felt rushed and never felt like I wasn’t in good hands. As someone with a fear of heights, this was perfect, the lines gradually increased in length, and also speed. It was the perfect beginners tour. This trip was a blast and I would highly recommend the tour to anyone that is thinking about it.See more..
5.0Maroon Bells(2.609 reviews) - WOW. Get a car pass early. You have more flexibility. Mountains
We were on a 16 day trip comprising 13 states and this was one of the highlights. The whole trip revolved around being here on October 6 and 7 for the sunset and sunrise. Back in July we got an online vehicle pass, $10, for the sunset on the 6th and one for the sunrise on the 7th. We needed them to enter and to park, however, when we got there in the morning no one was in the entry booth at 6:15 am. We were very fortunate that we had excellent weather for both. Our principal goal was photography. We saw a very nice fox right where you enter the viewing area. See the image. We also two moose on the way out in the evening. Much to our surprise the water level was quite low but we enjoyed our images non the less. This scene reminded us of Moraine Lake in Banf National Park Canada. Both beautiful areas.See more..
5.0Mount Evans(2.567 reviews) - A few tips for a spectacular drive. Go early! Mountains
From the top of Mount Evans, you’ll have the neighboring mountains and the Great Plains at your feet. To get there, drive from the town of Idaho Springs all the way to the mountaintop, pulling over occasionally to soak up the commanding views of the surroundings. The hike to the summit from the parking lot takes less than 10 minutes. Make sure you visit in the warmer months, as the road to Mount Evans is closed for the best part of the year. If you’re up for some intense trekking, hike the 5.3-mile trail from Summit Lake. – TripadvisorSee more..
5.0Hanging Lake Trail(2.206 reviews) - Trail is back open and worth it. Hiking Trails
Trail is back open. Beautiful trail. It's a hard trail but I as a 38 year old, out of shape, middle aged male not used to the altitude was able to accomplish it. Despite being passed on the trail by people 20-30 years older than me and young children it was worth the challenge. The trail is very rocky but jist about anyone can do it. Take lots of breaks, bring lots of water. I would recommend hiking earlier in the day as it's a bit cooler. It was well worth it.See more..
Super fun time! There are 10 lines starting easy and all the way 1/4 mile long. Check was smooth and well timed. We had guides with us who took pictures all along the way for purchase after the experience for $35 online. Overall a great time. Just note that there is 1 1/2 miles of hiking and 75 stairs to get to the lines along the way. The stopping mechanisms are a little rough and scary as well. But I still had a fun time and would do it again!See more..
5.0Telluride Mountain Village Gondola(1.958 reviews) - Telluride Gondola is a must ride! Monday: 6:30 AM - 12:00 AM Trams • Public Transportation Systems
One of the most unique forms of public transportation connects Mountain Village to Telluride offering stunning 360-degree views of the San Juan Mountains that extend as far away as Utah. The gondola, the first and only free public transportation of its kind in the United States opened in 1996 and was initially built to help improve air quality while expanding the ski area. Since then, it has become a popular attraction for residents and visitors alike, giving them a stunning ride that caps out at 10,540 feet above sea level. Approximately 3 million passenger rides annually – and safely – and more than 50 million passenger trips have been provided since opening day. The gondola operates roughly 287 days each year with routine maintenance scheduled during our shoulder season months. Our family with teenagers went on the intermediate rafting trip in late July. Our guide Joe was funny and knowledgeable not only about rafting but the history of the area as well. We felt safe and yet got as much thrill as was possible even in low water season. Plenty of splashes! This outfit was professional with buildings (not just temporary tent set-ups) and proper bathrooms on site. Very convenient that all the gear you need is included in the fee and not extra.See more..

5.0Raft Masters(1.293 reviews) - Shop no further and book at Raft Masters. Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Sightseeing Tours
I shopped a lot to find the best Royal Gorge rafting experience. But frankly, the rapids and rafts are the same no matter which rafting company you choose. Raft Masters was the least expensive and proved to be an excellent choice. They are extremely friendly, helpful and well organized, Our guide, ShepDog, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and safe, and to make an excellent trip even more fun. Don't sweat the footwear. They provide rubber booties free of charge. Lockers are 75 cents and can hold your shoes and other valuables. I'd recommend the morning run. It's cooler, there is less chance of rain or a storm, and Raft Masters is presently offering a $10 discount. See more..
5.0New Belgium Brewing(1.264 reviews) - Excellent Tour with Awesome Tour Guide Monday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
My hubby and I really enjoyed this tour! We learned so much about how beer is made and the history of New Belgium Brewery. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. She really seemed to know her stuff (forgot her name but it was her birthday on May 11). She really seemed to enjoy her job and did an excellent job! The tour was reasonable at $10 a person and of course included a number of beer samplings along the way including sour beer, which I had never tried. So glad we visited New Belgium and took the tour. Check out there website for tickets and also which food truck will be on site the day you visit.See more..
5.0A Wanderlust Adventure(1.222 reviews) - Fantastic for First Time and Experienced Rafters Alike! Monday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing
Our guide Taylor was absolutely incredible. Our group consisted of a bunch of teenagers in our summer camp who never swam/weren't strong swimmers and she navigated that like a champ. Taylor was extremely nice and encouraging the whole trip through and gave us lots of solid demonstration and advice to help the trip go smoothly. When a raft capsized on a rock and she had to go help them for a while, she stayed very calm and was very professional in her rescue of the passengers and extremely apologetic for leaving us in the raft to hang out for around 30ish minutes. I would highly recommend it and will be going there with my friends in the future ☺️ and photos are free on Thursdays which is a NICE plusSee more..

5.0Clear Creek Rafting Company(911 reviews) - So much family fun! Monday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing
We did a beginner rafting session with Atticus and it was awesome!! He made it easy to understand, we felt safe the whole time, and there were basically rapids almost the whole way down the creek. Our kids are 13, 10, and 7. They’ve been rafting several times before but we all agreed this was our BEST rafting trip yet! Highly recommend. AND we got a ton of FREE pictures! I’ve been charged anywhere from $20-$60 for these. Highly recommend!See more..

5.0Alpine Scenic Jeep Tours(897 reviews) - Second time around Monday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Private Tours
Last year while vacationing from Virginia, my wife and I visited Alpine Scenic Jeep Tours. The tour that we purchased was a four hour, private tour of Corkscrew Pass and the Red Mountains. It was unbelievable! The Red Mountains were absolutely beautiful. At that time, I remember telling my wife that we would return again some day. Little did I know that we would back again this year! After returning home last year and describing the tour and the sights we saw, we invited a couple of family members to share this year what we had experienced. This year again, we asked for a four hour private tour. Last years tour guide was a great guide. Both fun and informative. This years guide was ‘Rob’. Rob proved to be just as good as last year. If not more! He provided tons of information along the trail. He helped with photo suggestions and helped out with group pics as well. And with Rob’s suggestions, we were even able to visit other areas this year that we missed last year. With Rob as our guide, the tour was not just a vanilla, pre rehearsed presentation. There was something to experience around every corner! We talked about the area, our personal lives and our families. At the end of the day, we had been presented one of the most beautiful areas we had ever seen. We had experienced tons of fun. And we felt like we had made a special friend in Rob.See more..
5.0Balcony House(867 reviews) - Rigorous but very doable if you are over 65. Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins
There is some uneven terrain, ladders and a short crawl but not overly difficult. The crawl area is short but narrow so someone extremely wide in the hips would not make it thru. Both my knees are replaced and I had no difficulty walking or crawling. If you plan to do this tour get onto the reservation site at 8am MT 14 days before you planned date. Our ranger guide Rachel was fantastic. We had her the day before as well for the long house tour. See more..

5.0Manitou Springs Incline(848 reviews) - Challenge yourself with this crazy workout! Spent More than 3 hours Bodies of Water • Hiking Trails
So happy I got to experience this memorable hike up these 2768 railties! I’m a 52 year old, fit woman, who lives at altitude in NM, and I found this climb VERY challenging. It took me 1:17 to ascend just under a mile to the summit. Then about one hour to descend via the four mile trail. Some areas were a bit icy, so it might be wise to bring micro spikes if you got em. You need to make a (free but required) reservation during The Great Pause, as they are limiting the number of trekkers at any given hour, in order to keep people safe. Just Do It!!!See more..

I booked the zipline and rafting experience to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Our zipline guides were Brina and Tini and they made the trip so enjoyable. My husband is a little afraid of heights and they alleviated all fear and he had the best time! They were very thorough in explaining each of the different stations of the zipline experience and we felt very safe and secure the entire time. We then took an hour break in town and had a nice lunch before returning for the Upper Creek rafting experience. I had never been rafting and was nervous for the category of rapids we had chosen. Our guide Dagnar was beyond amazing! He was very reassuring, made sure we were prepared and even gave us an extra thrill while rafting. We could not have had a better experience!!!! I highly recommend the combination package as well as the specific guides to make your trip amazing! *I wore a bathing suit under my wet suit but would also recommend wicking shirt/shorts for rafting*See more..

5.0Glenwood Vaudeville Revue(760 reviews) - Fantastic Value for the Money and a Load of Fun Monday: Dinner Theaters
Enjoyable evening for mom, dad, and two older teens. Local food was tasty and the entertainment was above expectations. We got to see opening night for the season which was kinda cool. John is fantastic (reminded us of Dick Van Dyke’s multi-faceted talent) and the rest of the cast complemented one another well. The show was far longer than expected, an incredible value for the $, but maybe 30 mins too long as we got a little antsy towards the end. John’s pup, Hanz and Franz, and the church ladies were our favorites. Overall, highly recommended and a lot less expensive than I’d have imagined (including food costs).See more..

5.0Play Dirty ATV Tours(671 reviews) - Best atv tour ever!! Monday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours
It was a unbelievable experience. Experiencing the wild life, and the nature. As someone that lives in NYC, I really appreciated this tour, as the landscape was so gorgeous, the views spectacular, and the air was just so clear. The tour guide was so amazing!! She was so friendly and informative, and so kind and patient the whole time. We actually got to see a wild moose in the middle of our drive!! It was so awesome!! And she didn't lose her cool, just guided us "city people" to feel calm and move on. I went on atv tours a nice couple of times, this was by far the best!!! And I wish I remembered the name of our tour guide, so I can give her a proper shout out... [maybe the owner can help me, she is new, and gave us the tour at 6:30 in the afternoon] Bottom line, if you are in colarado, just make sure to take this tour!!See more..
