    - Nice hike to falls
    Waterfalls
    Fish Creek Falls image
This is a beautiful walk on a short (but steep) trail to see this very nice waterfall. My wife has a bad knee, so opted to stay in the car (parked in the shade) for the about 20 minutes that it took me to walk down to the falls, take a few photos and hike back up. I enjoyed the short walk and the views. The 5 mile hike and 2,400 foot elevation gain to Long Lake would be quite another matter. Fish Creek Falls is a very short drive from Steamboat Springs and the entrance fee of $5.00 is reasonable (free for us with a National Park Pass). See more..
  2. 4.0 Seven Falls (1.981 reviews)
    - Seven Falls a beautiful mother, and planet pt.1
    Monday: Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
    Seven Falls image
Seven Falls is a magnificent series of waterfalls located in a 1,400-foot-tall box canyon outside Colorado Springs. Several walking and hiking trails, as well as delectable new dining options await. From the parking lot, ride the free shuttle to the park’s entrance. Then enjoy the park and canyon by walking .8 miles to the base of the falls or take a tram for a small fee. Then, climb uphill or take the elevator to reach Eagles Nest observation deck. If you're looking for an adrenaline-filled experience, zip line over South Cheyenne Creek with Broadmoor Soaring Adventures. Parking and tickets for zip lining are separate. While in the area, you might want to explore other great attractions like the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. – Tripadvisor See more..

    - Great family hike!

During March it was still covered with ice and fairly slippery/muddy. But a 5 year old and a 42 year old without hiking shoes made it so you can too. It was about 30 minutes round trip. 10 minutes out of Pagosa Springs. Partially melted. 100% worth it! See more..
  4. 4.5 Helen Hunt Falls (869 reviews)
    - Pleasant and less stressful than seven falls.

Easy to get to, be advised the access road is rather winding. These are free and were not overly crowded when we visited The falls are pleasant but on the smaller side. Nice hiking trail above them, other trails in the park/area, and plenty of Porta-potties on site. See more..
  5. 4.5 Zapata Falls (463 reviews)
    - Worth the drive and hike to the beautiful falls!

We were happy to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to drive up to the parking lot. The drive is under construction, so it may be better in the future. Just drive slow and steadily. Once we parked, it was a lovely walk to the stream. A bit steep at times for people not yet used to the higher elevation, but certainly do able, especially with some benches along the way to catch our breath. We walked across the rocks and snow over a stream, then kind of hugged the rock walks to get into the cave. We were so lucky to see the waterfalls half frozen. After enjoying that for a bit, we walked around a bend to see the part of the falls that was running. So pretty! We lucked out that it wasn't too crowded, so we could just be there to take it in for a bit without being rushed out, or having to share with toomey people. Worth the trip. It was a nice thing to do after going to Great Sand Dunes National Park. See more..

  7. 4.5 Alberta Falls (416 reviews)
    - Very pretty and peaceful
    Waterfalls
    Alberta Falls image
This was our first stop on our hike up to Sky Pond. We started out at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17th. The Glacier Gorge trailhead was already filled by 7am so we had to use the park and ride. If you see the sign saying Bear Lake and Glacier Gorge is full, believe it. I saw a review that said this was a downhill hike and that is definitely not the case from the Glacier Gorge Trailhead. It is pretty much a slow continuous incline. It was 45° when we started our hike in the middle of August. So dress in layers. You can pretty much hear and see water throughout the hike. Very pretty and peaceful. See more..
  8. 4.5 Rifle Falls (375 reviews)
    - Propose to someone here lol
    Waterfalls
    Rifle Falls image
Great park. You can drive in and park in the day area. The cost was $7 for a drive in and $4 if you walked or road a bike. The falls were beautiful and had 3-4 places to stop at different levels of the falls. I enjoyed going behind them. The caves are neat as well. I walked the whole loop stopping at everything in 1.5 - 2 hours. I was alone but this would be a great place to take a date or kids. Definitely would make a great proposal place too. See more..
  9. 4.0 Boulder Falls (215 reviews)

  10. 4.5 Piedra Falls (171 reviews)
    - Amazing adventure
    Waterfalls
    Piedra Falls image
You won’t find a crowd here! These falls are a little of the beaten path. The views and on the drive are amazing but it is a long dirt road. I think a lot of people stop before they reach the falls because it does seem a long way. Once there, it’s a small hike through the woods and these falls are intense but the rocks keep the run off safe and swim/wadeable if you chose to do so. Note, the water is cold! See more..
  11. 5.0 North Clear Creek Falls (104 reviews)
    - Hidden Gem
Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas • Geologic Formations • Waterfalls
    North Clear Creek Falls image
This hidden gem is away from the crowds but right off the road. We initially were confused on location because GPS took us to the middle of Crede and the reviews were not specific. Without great reception in the area I had to ask for directions. The Falls are actually another 20 miles north of Crede; between Crede and Lake City. It is well worth the drive. We agree w/ others on TA. A real hidden gem. See more..
  12. 4.5 Bridal Veil hike (100 reviews)
    - Mom trips up the mountain; slips down
Spent More than 3 hours Hiking Trails • Waterfalls
    Bridal Veil hike image
If you've hiked, you've probably hiked a Bridal Veil hike. There is one in Oregon, Idaho Springs, Yosemite, the Rocky Mountains...anywhere the falls splits into a filmy curtain. This hike is a struggle to climb. We made it 950 feet of the 1,368 before Mom, who is 58 but in excellent shape for a 58-year-old, could keep her footing. Actually going down the trail was slower than going up. The old bag could haul herself up the mountain, but had trouble not slipping on the way down. At one point, she was actually sliding down the mountain uncontrollably crying. Just embarrassing. "Good job" we told her. Sat her down until her legs stopped wobbling. She made it with only a scraped shin from walking into a tree. See more..
  13. 5.0 Ouzel Falls (81 reviews)
    - Waterfalls and Great Views!
    Waterfalls
    Ouzel Falls image
I hiked the Ouzel Falls Trail last month while visiting RMNP. If you are a fan of waterfalls then this is your hike. The trail follows rivers that have several falls and many areas of rapids. The trail gradually ascents up to Ouzel Falls and is not really difficult if you are in reasonable shape (labeled as moderate). There were many families and groups of young people on the trail which was great to see after COVID. The trail is heaviliy trafficked and you need to get there early (or like I did) later in the afternoon or you will likely have a long walk to the trailhead. This is an out and back trail- not a loop. Up all the way there and down on the way back.! Great trail with lots for cool views! See more..
  14. 4.5 Agnes Vaille Falls (49 reviews)
    - Great little hike on a cold clear day
    Waterfalls
    Agnes Vaille Falls image
We parked our sleds in the parking lot lot. And made a quick hike up to look at the falls. They were frozen. We just made our way to the end of the trail. We never actually went to the falls. But it was fun. There wasn't anyone around this time of year. See more..
  15. 3.5 Maxwell Falls (44 reviews)
    - Hike with a View
    Waterfalls
    Maxwell Falls image
We took the short trail, only .9 miles, and it was good that we did because it started thundering and raining as we were walking out. The trail was pretty easy, but if you are from a lower elevation, it is a lttle tough to acclimate even on fairly flat terrain. The falls were very pretty. Not spectacular, but very pretty. The trail is easy to access from the parking area. One thing that was not good was that the trails were not marked, and there were a couple of times that there was a choice on which way to go. It looked like maybe someone took the signs down. Anyway, it was beautiful scenery with lots of rock formations. We'll do the longer route on another day. See more..

  18. 4.5 Cornet Creek Falls (29 reviews)
    - Good, short hike
    Spent < 1 hour Waterfalls
    Cornet Creek Falls image
This hike only took 40 minutes round trip. There was a steep incline and because it had just rained, it was quite slippery. I was wearing good hiking shoes so I was fine. However my kids were only wearing running shoes so it was slippery for them. The view was definitely worth the short hike! See more..
  19. 4.5 Horsethief Falls (21 reviews)
    - Quite steep!
Spent 1-2 hours Mountains • Hiking Trails • Waterfalls
    Horsethief Falls image
The beginning of this hike will really let you know just how in or out of shape you are. It starts off very steep for maybe 1/2 to a mile-ish. After that it's much better, but seems like forever if you don't normally hike hills. The waterfall was nice, but small. Good place to eat lunch before heading back down. See more..
  20. 4.5 Booth Falls (19 reviews)
    - Wonderful Hike
    Waterfalls
    Booth Falls image
The hike to Booth Falls and Deluge Lake should be on everyone's "must do" list. The trail is well-marked and maintained. It's a popular hike, so you will meet other hikers on you way up & down, but it wasn't overly crowded. This IS NOT a hike for those who are out of shape or have't adjusted to the altitude. There is a steady uphill with a few steep areas (particularly at the beginning.) There are areas with tree cover, but there are also lots of open, sunny spots. Be sure to wear sunscreen, a hat and pack lots of water. The views are incredible. Plan on 3-4 hours (with stops, round-trip) if you go the the fall. Add another 2-3 hours to make it to the lake. See more..

  22. 4.0 South Clear Creek Falls (1 review)
    - South Clear Creek Falls
    Spent < 1 hour Waterfalls
Most people traveling between Creede and Lake City on Colo 149 can easily stop and see North Clear Creek Falls. Finding South Clear Creek Falls is a little more difficult. The entrance to South Clear Creek Falls is south on 149 from the North Falls. Where County Road 10 dead ends into 149 from the north you will see a sign for South Clear Creek Falls Campground on the south side of 149. Take the campground road south until you come to a sign that says "Parking Falls." Park there and you will see a sign that indicates that the Falls are 900 feet ahead on a trail. The trail is a somewhat steep hike down (and, of course, back up). Although fairly short, it is not for anyone with ambulatory deficits. At the end of the trail you will find yourself across the gorge from the Falls, where the view is good and photos can be taken. South Clear Creek Falls are about one-third the size of the North Falls, but very much worth viewing. They are more secluded, in a shady forest, with little to no other tourists around. It appears there is a trail which takes one to the base of the Falls and perhaps even behind them, but was not explored by this reviewer. See more..
