The Cathedral Basilica is a beautiful gothic church. Its bright interior is illuminated by an array of brilliant stained glass windows. Entry is on the east side of the cathedral, by the small parking lot. Definitely worth a visit.See more..
4.5Mother Cabrini Shrine(201 reviews) - Beautiful! Even in February. Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Religious Sites
The Shrine was closed one day due to too much snow. My son and I went back the next day. It was sunny, and someone had taken the time to shovel all 373 steps so people could get to the top- very early in the morning. The water grotto was amazing, especially to read about how it came about. The "hike" was fairly mild by Colorado standards; and there are benches to rest on the way up. You can see downtown Denver from the top, by the 22 foot statue of Jesus. The chapel and the small museums are well maintained. If you are a believer it's inspiring, and if not it would still be thought provoking and worth seeing. See more..
4.5Chapel on the Rock(118 reviews) - St. Malo (Chapel on the Rock) now has a coffee house!!!! Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites
Right on the property of the Chapel on the Rock, Tahosa Coffee Shop (check web for open days/times) is located in what once was a stone storage building, but remodeled and a deck was added. This building, north of the driveway to the Chapel, houses a gift shop and coffee house that serves Boulder OZO coffee, pastries, burrito, and most importantly offers, cow, almond and oat milks! The interior of the building is calm and serene, the staff super friendly and the coffee/tea is very good. This just makes St. Malo a great stop when visiting the area. Tahosa Coffee Shop just opened Summer 2023.See more..

4.0Drala Mountain Center(67 reviews) - The powerful and magical heart of my spiritual world. Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Religious Sites • Educational sites
Shambhala Mountain Center is the most exceptional place I have ever been. This is not a retreat center about feel good illusions or ego-bloating affirmations. My time there hasn't been about putting on colored glasses to make the world more beautiful, such ideas are foolish. Its been about taking the glasses off, actually seeing clearly, genuinely, what really is. Breathtaking beauty, but sometimes standing in the mud--tremendous gentleness and kindness from participants and staff, who are still human, still alive and flawed. This is our world, and the core programs are for those who want to live and relate to ALL of it, not cherry pick it in a futile attempt to hide from the brilliance and oft uncomfortable intensity of what is real. I would strongly recommend SMC for any of their programs, solitary retreats to yoga to lecture series and everything in between.See more..
4.5Temple Israel(56 reviews) - Got to love a nice old architecture - this case a nice old Shul Monday: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites • History Museums
A restored, 1880s frontier synagogue in historic Leadville. The only building of its kind west of the Mississippi, it now houses a museum dedicated to the Jewish pioneers of a booming mining city. Come visit Temple Israel to learn more about a vibrant community that supported an active civic and social world whilst satisfying the city's commercial needs.See more..
5.0Alpine Chapel(15 reviews) - A Church Like Very Few Others Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
The pastor is on fire ...not condemning, not judgmental ...but loving, passionate, inviting. Pastor Michael is the real deal! I live this church and always can hardly wait to attend the service when we are in town. My wife and I actually have adopted this as our church and watch the sermons on you tube when we are home. We attended a wedding here many years ago and found it a beautiful place for such and event, there were elk in the parking lot. BUT, sadly - it is now a runners store.See more..
I'm just a local cowboy, but every now and again, I like to visit, sit in the chapel, and maybe chant with the sisters. Am a little surprised to find this cloistered monastery listed as an "attraction," but I know that besides raising livestock (yes, they are rough and tough ranchers) they host religious retreats. For me, visiting this place is an opportunity to shut off the cell and spend an hour for reflection and contemplation, allowing the divine to speak to me. The sisters are very gracious.See more..

5.0Foundry Church(1 review) - First time Visitor Monday: Religious Sites I live in Parker and was searching for a place of worship that was not a huge church and where I can get to know other believers. My two grandchildren and I went to Foundry and were delighted to find the friendliest people in a church setting that I've ever attended. We were greeted by everyone along the entrance to the church, which by the way meets in a Montessori School and it was wonderful. The sermon was enlightening and service lasts about an hour. Stop in and you'll find a wonderful place to worship.See more..
5.0Vajra Vidya(1 review) - For spiritual practitioners (not a touristplace) come 9:00AM Tibetan practice Spent 1-2 hours Religious Sites This is a real Tibetan temple and residence for practitioners. 2 Khenpos (like a dr of divinity). Not much happening but to sit in the nice temple and meditate but the free 9:00 AM chanting and meditation (come 10 min early cause they start on time) well worth doing. They do have both chairs and cushions.See more..
5.0Temple Israel(1 review) - What a unique attraction Religious Sites Who would have known that the Jewish community of Leadville was once over 300 people? The building, a charming old structure, is located right across from a church, and is free to enter though they ask for a donation. The synagogue has some really interesting exhibits about Leadville's history and linkages to the Jewish community. It is well worth the visit!See more..
