We did a Family Float today and it was fantastic. Allison was my boat’s guide and she was friendly, outgoing, and very knowledgeable about what she was doing. She gave great directions when needed. She also gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area. The information she gave us about the company - when we asked - makes me recommend them even more. We were on a family trip to Canon City last week and decided to do the Bighorn Sheep all ages rafting trip with Royal Gorge rafting. There were 16 of us from my 8 year old nephew all the way up to my amazing 81 year old father in law! Zachary & Joey were 2 of our guides and they were both amazing! I personally had Zach in my raft guiding us and I really appreciated how he made this anxious 40 something mom relax and enjoy something completely out of my comfort zone. It was an incredible experience and we can’t wait to come back again sometime to try the more advanced rafting trip! Our family with teenagers went on the intermediate rafting trip in late July. Our guide Joe was funny and knowledgeable not only about rafting but the history of the area as well. We felt safe and yet got as much thrill as was possible even in low water season. Plenty of splashes! I shopped a lot to find the best Royal Gorge rafting experience. But frankly, the rapids and rafts are the same no matter which rafting company you choose. Raft Masters was the least expensive and proved to be an excellent choice. They are extremely friendly, helpful and well organized, Our guide, ShepDog, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and safe, and to make an excellent trip even more fun. Don't sweat the footwear. They provide rubber booties free of charge. Lockers are 75 cents and can hold your shoes and other valuables. I'd recommend the morning run. It's cooler, there is less chance of rain or a storm, and Raft Masters is presently offering a $10 discount. See more..

Our guide Taylor was absolutely incredible. Our group consisted of a bunch of teenagers in our summer camp who never swam/weren't strong swimmers and she navigated that like a champ. Taylor was extremely nice and encouraging the whole trip through and gave us lots of solid demonstration and advice to help the trip go smoothly. When a raft capsized on a rock and she had to go help them for a while, she stayed very calm and was very professional in her rescue of the passengers and extremely apologetic for leaving us in the raft to hang out for around 30ish minutes. I booked the zipline and rafting experience to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Our zipline guides were Brina and Tini and they made the trip so enjoyable. My husband is a little afraid of heights and they alleviated all fear and he had the best time! They were very thorough in explaining each of the different stations of the zipline experience and we felt very safe and secure the entire time. We then took an hour break in town and had a nice lunch before returning for the Upper Creek rafting experience. I had never been rafting and was nervous for the category of rapids we had chosen. Our guide Dagnar was beyond amazing! He was very reassuring, made sure we were prepared and even gave us an extra thrill while rafting. We could not have had a better experience!!!! Clear Creek is a smaller rafting company when you compare it to the companies across the street. The whole experience felt more personable since we only had 2 boats in our tour. The big dogs across the street, which we got stuck behind on the river, had a group of like 8 boats in their tour. Some of their tours have more boats but ours was perfect for our first time rafting. Our guide Ken was knowledgeable, nice and had biceps for days. The price of the tour is a great deal because it includes professional photos while you are navigating a rapid on the river. Something the other companies didn’t offer, and trust me, I did my research. I would recommend Clear Creek Rafting company and would book with them again to do the Royal Gorge in the future.See more..

As beginners, we felt like we were in really good hands with Riley, our guide (thank you Riley!…and Colin, who delivered the initial safety talk, which was super clear and most useful when we did in fact need to do a high side!). We did the upper Taylor extender (3 hours). We were so glad to have done the extender option because we weren’t ready to get out after 2 hours. We felt like the stretch we saw was a good combination of thrills and gentler stretches with stunning views. This was the first time river rafting for my wife and only my second time. We were paired with a couple young women. Gino was our guide. He was super cool, funny and laid back. He made sure we had fun even though the water level was low. He spun us around, bumped into other boats and gave us an occasional unexpected splash. The rapids were pretty mellow but we got to do some paddling. You can tell that all the guides are a good team that work well together and know how to have fun. We booked the half-day intermediate adventure and had an outstanding time! Starting with a 7ft waterfall, this rafting experience offered ample excitement and thrills as we splashed our way down Clear Creek. Our guide, Joe, did an excellent job instructing and navigating us through the class III/IV rapids. The water temperature was brisk (mid-50*s), but most rafters were comfortable in swimsuits and dry-fit shirts. If your feet get chilled easily, I highly recommend you consider waterproof or river shoes as your feet will be in a couple inches of water the majority of the ride. Although this experience is listed as intermediate, prior experience is not required and I recommend anyone interested in a whitewater rafting experience consider this excursion.See more..

Jerry was our jeep driver and we were his only passengers. He started the tour early, offered us a blanket, and told us it would be best to keep the top up due to the sun. Covid 19 in August 12th, we left at 9:20 am. Jerry was excellent and extremely knowledgeable about mining and area mines. We learned about mines and milling. The scenery was breathtaking. At times the rock roads were very bumpy. We learned about the mining process, history of the area, animals and saw marmets, and a baby moose. We went to the ruins of an old mining town (ghost town). We took the all day raft trip with Steve as our guide. There we’re only the four of us (2 adults and our two teenaged grandkids) on the adventure. And what an adventure it was!
