We've rented a pontoon from the marina twice over 3 years and each time the boat was spotless and ready to go on time. The staff was very friendly and eager to help us out. Yes, it's expensive but I guess it's a short season. Their web reservation system is a little wonky and wish we could make a reservation earlier to help with our trip planning. Don't understand why we could not make a reservation farther in advance...makes no sense to the customer. See more..

My sister was visiting from Georgia and we decided to take a tour with Altitude on the beautiful Grand Mesa. We had a wonderful experience. The guides started out slow so we could get a handle on the machines. They eventually allowed us to explore in unobstructed areas and actually use the machine. The snow was amazing!!! Excellent service and exceptional gear. Jay was easy to work with and the rental kit came complete with the necessary accessories: inflation bag, tarp, tie down, cloth for cleaning, pfd and paddle if needed. The kokopelli rafts are top notch and very capable. I took mine to the desert and paddled some canyons in UT and it handled very well for a packraft. See more..

My family of 12 were looking to rent a pontoon boat, $450We have a pug and when we asked about taking the Pug with his life vest, she became overly animated and sarcastically said, “I said no pets”!, “and it will take time to get it ready , I have to clean it first”. Then sure refused to wait on us. My grandkids were disappointed. I was 12 years old when I first went to Vallecito in 1970. A man by the name of Ken Natski owned the marina and everyone was treated respectfully as not just a customer, but a friend. This marina is the only one up there now, so they have a monopoly and can be just as rude as they want. I was disappointed. We were at the marina around 1:30 on June 28th. See more..

Ray does a great job. Not only do you get a tube, PFD, and a helmet; he makes sure they are on properly and securely. He also has a short video to let you know what to expect, and he gives you some quick pointers on how to navagate with the tube. In addition, he shows you on a map some of the spots where you can get in and out of the water. My 13 year old grandkids had a blast tubing down the St. Vrain river in Lavern Johnson park in Lyons.
