Jerry was our jeep driver and we were his only passengers. He started the tour early, offered us a blanket, and told us it would be best to keep the top up due to the sun. Covid 19 in August 12th, we left at 9:20 am. Jerry was excellent and extremely knowledgeable about mining and area mines. We learned about mines and milling. The scenery was breathtaking. At times the rock roads were very bumpy. We learned about the mining process, history of the area, animals and saw marmets, and a baby moose. We went to the ruins of an old mining town (ghost town). We took a trip with Rigs to the Telluride area on the San Miguel River. The office staff was very patient with all my questions and offered good descriptions of several Trips they thought would be best for our family. They were very professional and helpful Upon arrival. The setting at the river was beautiful. Keith and Spencer were excellent guides. They are very knowledgeable about fly fishing in the area and worked hard, Changing flies and moving us around to help us catch fish. We caught several fish so they did a good job directing us to the right area to snag some Fish. We’ve never fly fished before. Both guides did a great job teaching us how to fly dish and were patient with us while we learned our skills. I would definitely recommend RIGS and would use them Again if we fish in this area. My husband and I had the awesome pleasure of a sunset hike with Brianna and two of her llamas (Beau and Chinook)! We had the best time learning about llamas and life in Colorado with Brianna. She is a wonderful and considerate guide who went above and beyond to show us a beautiful time. In addition to our trek, she took professional photos of us, showed us around her property, let us meet her other animal friends, and gave us a cute surprise at the end! We took this tour on a whim after planning a visit to the area and learning that sometimes the dunes can treat visitors to unexpected sandstorms. Initially we had envisioned climbing the dunes or sand boarding, however we stumbled upon Mountain Master Off-Road Tours and decide to book the Dunes and Falls Tour. Our tour guide was Kyle, the owner and everyone agreed this was a favorite from our vacation. Kyle went out of his way to make sure everyone in our party was enjoying the tour, and he shared so much history of the area with us. I had planned this trip before COVID-19 and had to postpone a couple of times. but with the BLM emergency gather looming, it was now or never. I wanted to learn about the Basin and why the horses are being removed in addition to photographing a vanishing Western icon. Cindy Wright provided a thoughtful guided tour of the Basin and it’s inhabitants. I have a better understanding of the horses and their environment from Cindy’s wealth of knowledge and dedication to them.
