We stopped here to look in the small museum they have with Native American art items. They have a reproduction of an Indian Trading Post and one of the largest, beautiful native woven rugs ever made. They also have an extensive collection of Native American jewelry for sale and we found a piece that we bought. Their prices seemed reasonable with what we have seen elsewhere in the Southwest. Carbondale has an interesting collection of sculptures located around downtown. There is a formal event (Art Walk) every year where you can view the new art along with the artists. But, the visiting art sculptures and the permanent collection are both available to view all year round. We had a great time strolling around town looking at the art and stopping for lunch at a local restaurant. This would be a good activity for a family with children. See more..
