I booked the zipline and rafting experience to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Our zipline guides were Brina and Tini and they made the trip so enjoyable. My husband is a little afraid of heights and they alleviated all fear and he had the best time! They were very thorough in explaining each of the different stations of the zipline experience and we felt very safe and secure the entire time. We then took an hour break in town and had a nice lunch before returning for the Upper Creek rafting experience. I had never been rafting and was nervous for the category of rapids we had chosen. Our guide Dagnar was beyond amazing! He was very reassuring, made sure we were prepared and even gave us an extra thrill while rafting. We could not have had a better experience!!!! I highly recommend the combination package as well as the specific guides to make your trip amazing! *I wore a bathing suit under my wet suit but would also recommend wicking shirt/shorts for rafting*See more..

I did a half-day wade trip with Cutthroat Anglers on July 22nd and I can't recommend this trip enough! Matt Campanella took me out to catch my first Cutthroat Trout and then to one of the most beautiful places I've ever fished for some Brook Trout. Matt not only set me up in the right places to catch fish, but also took the time to teach me the how's and whys of what we were doing. I've been fly fishing for over a decade, and I can guarantee you I am a much better fisherman after spending a day with Matt C. We took a trip with Rigs to the Telluride area on the San Miguel River. The office staff was very patient with all my questions and offered good descriptions of several Trips they thought would be best for our family. They were very professional and helpful Upon arrival. The setting at the river was beautiful. Keith and Spencer were excellent guides. They are very knowledgeable about fly fishing in the area and worked hard, Changing flies and moving us around to help us catch fish. We caught several fish so they did a good job directing us to the right area to snag some Fish. We’ve never fly fished before. Both guides did a great job teaching us how to fly dish and were patient with us while we learned our skills. I would definitely recommend RIGS and would use them Again if we fish in this area. We timed our outing for the legendary salmon fly hatch and were blessed by catching many 15-20 inch trout on big dry flies. The lodging and dining before and after featured chef prepared meals and a fully stocked bar. The cabins were perfect for short or long stays. Ownership and management were readily available for advice on fishing flies on the property. The guides on our trip, Angus, Ryan and Jake expertly guided the rafts through some exciting Class III and IV rapids, and always got us positioned to catch fish. They had the best flies and were quick to untangle me and land fish. Their meals were served on plates with silverware: steak and chicken; no hotdogs or s’mores on this camp out. We were camping in the area and my 13-year old son wanted to drop by to get fishing flies. The owner, Michelle was awesome. Realizing that my son was a novice, she conducted a private mini-lesson and outfitted him with the knowledge and equipment he needed to go fishing on the nearby Platte river. Trisha was great to work with over the phone during our planning process, the whole staff is super-friendly and informative. Our family did the 2 hour instruction and 2 hour float trip. Thad's instruction on casting do's and don'ts was perfect. Presley and Bradley were great captains as well who were great with inexperienced fly fisherman!! The time was well worth our money and would recommend it to anyone that has a interest in fly fishing for trout.See more..
