4.5Boulder Public Library(144 reviews) - Endless ways to spend the day! Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Libraries
The Public Library sits along Boulder Creek, so the setting is idyllic if you want to stop inside at the Seeds Cafe, grab some lunch and eat along the creek. But you could also eat in the Japanese garden or the Growing Garden. The library offers many story times for kids, concert series, film series, Boulder Reads literacy program, a large art gallery and a new Maker Space with 3D printing in Building 61 (the original BPL built in '61). Great selection of books, DVDs, magazines, and many databases that get you access to things like Consumers Reports, Ancestry.com, or car repair manuals. It also has multiple sizes of meeting rooms. Currently undergoing some exterior renovation, It's a great community resource!See more..
We visited the library twice. My friend (a GS resident) borrowed a book for me that I read during my stay. She picked-up a new book that was being given away as part of a community book club event for a Colorado author. My impression was this is a centrally located library with a lot to offer to the community.See more..

5.0Bud Werner Memorial Library(16 reviews) - Warm place to sit Libraries What a GEM! Libraries made the world a better place. On a very cold morning after breakfast my husband and I wanted to sit, write, and reflect. Looking out over the creek and seeing a bald eagle flying over the hill was the perfect spot. The librarians were friendly and helpful. The restrooms were clean. There were plenty of books to browse and a good children's section. We loved that it was quiet and more open than our hotel room. Truly a fantastic place to visit. Great for meetings as well, there were several large tables to gather around that still had a view!See more..
We welcome everyone! Free WiFi, restrooms, activities for all ages, public computers, and more! One of the unique features of the Rifle Branch Library is the stained glass window on the 2nd floor that commemorates Theodore Roosevelt’s visits to this area around the turn of the century. Known as the Roosevelt Window, it was originally in the Presbyterian Church at the corner of 4th and Whiteriver.See more..

We met Janice at the Lake County Public Library recently for help with genealogy. Janice had already sent us material on our family. She spent about 2 hours with us and showed us how to use their online records and sat with us and looked through census books and city registers. This was a wonderful and very helpful experience. We really appreciate all the resources that are available and Janice’s skillful and efficient guidance!See more..

5.0Dolores Public Library(6 reviews) - Stunning Public Library Perched on the Dolores River Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Libraries If you are traveling through Dolores, Colorado, don't miss the Public Library next to the US Post Office on the north bank of the Dolores River on Railroad Avenue near downtown. I hear you saying..."What? a library?" Yes! and it is one of the most architecturally beautiful small intimate libraries in Colorado. You can view the rapids of the Dolores River through the windows, sit on the back deck under large cottonwood trees at water's edge, experience the massive stone fireplace inside, and even borrow books, DVDs, and use free computers and Wi-fi! This is a fine place to retreat with a book or a sketch pad. Children welcome. Something for everyone who loves books and a beautiful setting for them.See more..

All that AND a working fireplace? If they don't have what you need, they can order it. Lots of spaces to do computer work, read in comfortable chair, look out window at Little Joe and Big Joe.... Check out the area east of the library. Thanks to efforts from United Way in major-funding the underground sprinkling system two years in a row, and support from Friends of the Library (purchasing trees hand-picked as Charley Brown oddities so more could be purchased within budget limitations, for example), it's a quiet spot to walk, think, relax.
