4.5Washington Park(609 reviews) - Strolling, Biking, Skating, Walking, Talking with Plenty Places to Picnic, Parks • Gardens
This iconic park has been a mainstay for folks of all ages who live in the city. Residents come from all the blocks around to exercise, socialize, and gather with others. On any given day you will find many Denverites getting some fresh air and taking care of their physical and emotional bodies. You will also find loads of wildlife with geese and ducks as well as squirrels. Parking is limited so try to find another way to the area. See more..
This was a beautiful display of a ton of different types of flowers grown by CSU I believe. We had an awesome time walking through and reading about all of the different types of hybrids. It was very close to campus as well, so a great walk through as you're walking around the downtown area! See more..

Fabulous !!!!!! As a family of six, we went after the holidays, Jan 2. From the moment you leave the parking lot toward the gardens, the lights are beautiful! So many colors and themes. Bridges and arbors decorated, tress that stand thirty feet high, all the while Christmas music flows through the areas. A stand for warm drinks and cookies midway through. A sleigh decorated, which makes a lovely photo opt. A frozen pond surrounded by decorations. A fire pit with seating to warm up. Ending with a horse drawn carriage ride. Included with your price of admission. Staff was extremely welcoming and informed. So many restaurants close by to finish the evening. Will definitely become a holiday tradition for our family.See more..

My husband and I stopped in here before we could check-in to our Vrbo just to kill time. We were the only ones here and took our time enjoying all the plants, flowers, and cacti. This is a nice little botanic garden that is free of charge and more like a "park." Plants, flowers and trees are labeled with names for identification. There are several statues, fountains, art pieces, benches and sitting areas. It is very peaceful and well-kept. I was surprised at how many flowers were still in bloom this late in the year. It was also nice seeing so many butterflies, bees and pollinators! It was the perfect place for a relaxing stroll.See more..

4.5Westminster Center park(17 reviews) - Pretty and peaful Spent 1-2 hours Gardens • Playgrounds
The Westminster Center Park was just a few minutes walk from my hotel so I stopped by in my morning stroll and took some pictures. The Park had a large parking lot, City Hall, Policy Department, the Bell Tower (which could be seen from a distance) and five tall flag poles. The area was clean and well maintained. Since it was early in the morning, it was pretty quiet and nice to walk by. Even though it was called "center", it was not the commercial center of the city. There was also a "Westminster City Park" which is a couple of miles north of the City Hall. Near there was the Butterfly Pavilion and the Westminster Promenade (a shopping area). We only drive by the Promenade but did not have time to visit..See more..
I've done a few area farm dinners and they are the best kept secret out there. Talk about farm to table! We attended the September Farm Dinner -- Harvest at Three Leaf Farm. The tickets are a little expensive ($85), but worth twice that. Try to not be late; we had a little problem finding three seats together. Settimbre Cellars was there with the greatest wine steward. There was a nice tour of the farm. Then we sat down at a long table and had the most amazing food. Every bite was thought out and perfection. I can't forget about the flock of chickens wandering past. So idyllic!See more..
