We are currently visiting Steamboat Springs (May/mid season) and stumbled upon Three Quarter Circles Sporting Clay while researching activities to do. And WOW, so glad we did!!! My husband, adult son, and I had a fantastic time. The guys had some previous experience, whereas I had none. Our instructor, Maureen, was wonderful!! She was extremely helpful and patient in teaching me everything I needed to know. And she was always focusing on gun safety and instructing us on the various types of guns, ammo, and clay pigeons. We highly recommend Three Quarter Circles and will definitely return on any future visit to Steamboat Springs. Thank you again, Maureen!!See more..
The Silverthorne Rec Center provided a great alternate activity on the day we took a break from skiing. You pay a daily entry rate and have access to the gym and pool facilities, including hot tub, sauna, and steam room. There is an indoor track plus typical nautilus, treadmills, free weights, etc. The pools have a water slide, a climbing wall, lap lanes, and a toddler pool with a small slide for little kids. Bring your own lock for the lockers (or you can buy one there.) They also rent towels. There are bathing suit dryers in the lockers rooms. Really a pleasant way for a family to spend an afternoon.See more..

Very nice facility. The kids loved this place. The only think I would change is for the Center to add more plastic chairs to the inside pool area. We went on a Sunday and there must have been over 200 people/kids at the indoor pool. I think I counted about 25 chairs (most of them had towel's on them. I also noticed about 50 people standing that I am sure would have loved to sit down. It would have been nice even if there were chairs stacked up so we could have got one. I am sure it is not always this busy however. Nice facility and the kids had a blast.See more..

4.0Bob L. Burger Recreation CZenter(9 reviews) - New workout equipment in a great gym! The indoor track is invaluable during snowy days to get your walk/run in. The multiple pools allow for plenty of water based classes without impinging on other swimmers. 3.0Central Recreation Center(4 reviews) - LOUD! Monday: 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM Sports Complexes Poorly designed building failed to separate the very loud gymnasium from the rest of the center. As a result, this entire place is uncomfortably LOUD. Also, the walking/running track isn't sufficiently separated from the weight room. I've seen people blocking the track while lifting weights, and using the track as a vantage point to watch their friends play basketball, or just mindlessly wandering across the track. Additionally, the weight room is too small and there are too few exercise machines. Drive the extra distance and go to the Trails in Arapahoe County. Far superior facility.See more..

Disc golf at 9000 feet? Amidst the sage brush, behind the Dillon cemetery, is this semi-spectacular disc golf lay out. It can be difficult to locate some of the tee boxes and occasionally the holes but the scene is breathtaking on a sunny day. Make sure you spot your disc landing spot as the sage brush can hide any throw. Also be very careful coming down # 8 it's very steep. And the whole scene is FREE!!!See more..
