3.5Eldora Mountain Resort(217 reviews) - Beautiful skiing day in Nederland, Colorado at Eldora Monday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Ski & Snowboard Areas
Eldora is just 21 miles from Boulder and 45 miles from Denver. Avoid the stress of I-70's notorious congestion. Eldora is a locals-friendly mountain, relaxed and unpretentious. One of Colorado's best kept secrets for families. There's something for everyone - steeps, bumps, glades, terrain park, groomed corduroy for cruising. A Children's Center where learning to ski or snowboard is fun. 40km of x-country and snowshoe trails. Free close-in parking and RTD bus service that drops you 50ft from the lift.See more..
3.5Monarch Casino(197 reviews) - Clean and nice but over rated Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Casinos
This was a very nice property. Our room was clean and comfortable. The buffet was WAY overpriced for what they offered however the food was ok. The fact that we did not have hot water in our room for morning showers and our coffee maker did not work was a big bummer. The bigger bummer was the management did not care or even apologize when the situation was nicely brought to their attention upon checkout. In my opinion the promotions and hype monarch has put out there does not meet expectations. The isle of capri and the grand z are better option and more affordable.See more..
We went to Cripple Creek for the ice sculpture event, and didn't want to eat the vendor food. Deciding to go back to the hotel we went to the Wildwood Casino to see if we could get a meal at Joe's Diner. The wait was long which could be expected since there were a lot of people in town that day. I ordered the salmon and mixed vegetables. I chose two servings of the mixed vegetables. I got a very overcooked, dry piece of salmon and only broccoli. I didn't want to complain because the staff were very nice and putting up with a lot of disgruntled people, but if the menu says mixed veg that's what it should be. My sister ordered a steak with asparagus and it came with 2 pieces of asparagus. My daughter seemed pleased with her prime rib and baked potato. This is not a great place for dinner. I'd look elsewhere.See more..

3.0Ute Mountain Casino(94 reviews) - Unique Casino in the Middle of Nowhere Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Casinos
The Ute Mountain Casino Hotel is a hidden gem located on the Ute Mountain Reservation in southwestern Colorado. We would have never known about this place had we not driven past it on U.S. Route 491. We had been hiking all day in the Canyon’s of the Ancients Monument and were hungry, so we decided to stop and get something to eat. After we enjoyed gaming in the casino where they have all the games you could want.See more..

3.5The Raven At Three Peaks(71 reviews) - Pleasant Golf Course for a value lunch Monday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Golf Courses
We ate at the golf course restaurant. It had a typical bar and indoor golfers restaurant with limited views of the course below. The outdoor terrace was musch more attractive with comfortabletables and red umbrellas. We could see course below pleasant but still not great view. Service was good and the menu was good but small. I had a good turkey club and my wife had a fair burger, We often look for a golf course because the food view and price always please....See more..
3.5Cinebarre - Thornton(69 reviews) - Wanted to The Shape of Water before the Oscars, This place had the right time for us. Movie Theaters
I loved that the door prices where reasonable. $14.00 for two people to new movie. The place is casual and very low pressure to buy food or drinks. The screen was a nice size and the seating was better than usual but not extra fancy, which was fine with me. I ordered a good Goose Island IPA, and food smelled real good. The overall experiance was that this place was a deal and we can eat, drink & be merry if want too, or just have a movie and chill. Loved it.See more..
3.0Dakota Hot Springs(65 reviews) - Meeeh Monday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Hot Springs & Geysers
If you like Cottonwood Hot Springs you will like this one. Both kinda run down, but Dakota is cheaper. The water was warm and most of the visitors were friendly. The front desk lady spoke to us and told us we were too “close”. I had my right hand on my boyfriends left shoulder and he was pulling me around the pool.??? No PDA or funny business, so that was weird. The whole property is spooky and mysterious looking, but that’s part of the appeal. I will continue to go until Desert Reef opens back up!See more..
3.0Cinebarre(60 reviews) - Go for the pizza, stay for the movie. Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters
My wife and I make Friday nights our "date night" and dinner and a movie is SOP. We've been hitting the Cinebarre since the first week they opened and have noticed a huge improvement in service. The food and attitude of the staff has always been very good, but it has taken a while for them to work the bugs out for prompt and efficient service. We even stopped going for a few months. But we went back this past weekend to see Inferno and were pleasantly surprised by the drastic improvement in order taking, food delivery, and payment process. I said earlier the food has always been good, but this time the pizza absolutely rocked! Tom Hanks is a great actor, but this time the pizza was the star of the show. Cinnebarre... you've done your homework and are back on our date night agenda. Well done!See more..

3.5Penny Hot Springs(47 reviews) - Only complaint is the people complaining Hot Springs & Geysers
The hot spring is au natural! Read into the history a little bit and I found out the locals actually wanted to do away with the hot springs at one point in time. Every time I've been it's been all smiles and solitude. It's an amazing place for a human to be and feel human. You're in the Alpine for goodness sakes, people WILL be nude. People will drink people will also smoke. I never thought it was a big deal. People are even there after dark. Treat this place well and there should be no negativity. Children, parents, everyone can enjoy this place, there are at least three built up rock pools, you may have to adjust the amount of river water but the pools are never cold. Pets love the hot springs and the river, and around September the waters are very calm. The only suggestion is that if you are older I would be extremely wary of the walk from the parking lot to the hot springs themselves. It can be treacherous as the path is just rocks varying in steepness.See more..
3.5Maxwell Falls(44 reviews) - Hike with a View Waterfalls
We took the short trail, only .9 miles, and it was good that we did because it started thundering and raining as we were walking out. The trail was pretty easy, but if you are from a lower elevation, it is a lttle tough to acclimate even on fairly flat terrain. The falls were very pretty. Not spectacular, but very pretty. The trail is easy to access from the parking area. One thing that was not good was that the trails were not marked, and there were a couple of times that there was a choice on which way to go. It looked like maybe someone took the signs down. Anyway, it was beautiful scenery with lots of rock formations. We'll do the longer route on another day.See more..
3.5Century Casino Central City(42 reviews) - A casino is a casino! LOL Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Casinos
If you're going strictly for gambling then Century Casino is just as good as the next place. The neat thing though is being in Central City. It is not as crowded as Black Hawk and the feeling is like stepping back into a part of Colorado History. I love this place even when I lost my money!See more..
3.0Rainbow Falls(39 reviews) - UNder improvement Waterfalls
This site was known locally as "Graffiti Falls" because of the VERY extensive spray paint vandalism. El Paso County is currently cleaning up and improving the site and it should reopen Summer, 2018.See more..
This is a typical casino (money went way too fast) when it came to the machines. The building is cool, but the machines inside are the same as most casinos. It would be so cool if an old casino would have an area of vintage machines that actually work. I visited a place in Reno long ago that did just that with old metal machines. It was so cool and so much fun!See more..
3.5Isle Casino(34 reviews) - Fun Place Spent < 1 hour Casinos

3.5Standley Lake Regional Park(31 reviews) - Great place for kayaking Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Scenic Walking Areas
You can rent kayaks, canoes, and SUPs for a reasonable price. The only downside is that parking costs a fortune within the park, so if you don't mind walking 10 minutes, park in the lot off 100th Ave (on the north side). See more..
3.5Skyline Cinema 8(30 reviews) - Cheap Movie Theaters We went here yesterday and this movie theater is way cheaper than going to the movies in Denver. The staff was very polite but note that the seats don't recline. The drinks and snacks were both cheaper than Denver too. Plenty of parking in the parking lot.See more..
Our Back-up due to the fact The Great Sand Dunes SP was booked 5 months out. Great Views, no shade except for metal Table cover. Dusty gravel road to the paved loops. We were there at the end of May and didn't know about the sand Fleas until it was too late. Ankles to knees ate up! WARNING! We saw children playing in the sand all afternoon, hope they recover. We would return..with much more bug spray.See more..
3.0Hippy Hot Springs(28 reviews) - Beware of creepers Hot Springs & Geysers
For this time of year and when open at this time of year the course plays quite well. Good cocktails at end of round to discuss what could have been with extra distance on fairways due to ice. Ha! Will be a five in summer.See more..

Old but cute casino. We went in because we saw a daily lunch special for $7.77. Although we didn't end up getting the special, the food was good and reasonable. I had he buffalo wings & fries. Generous portions. The casino looks like an old train station and the security guard was nice & gave us some tips on the area. I also won in this casino so I will be back!See more..

3.5Fitzgeralds Casino(24 reviews) - Sign up for the Players Club Casinos Small casino however the table limits are much more reasonable than the others in town. Definately sign up for the players club card! Lots of freebies and the food at Shamrock's Cafe was surprisingly great. You can chose any entry form a $7 sandwich to their $20 prime rib.See more..
3.588 Drive-In Theatre(23 reviews) - Don't forget the drive-in! Movie Theaters
When we went it wasn't optimal because it was pouring rain. You can't really watch through wipers and the car steaming up. We turned around and tried to watch through the open hatchback but we were pretty cramped and freezing. Regardless, it was a very fun experience and now with the quarantine sounds like a great idea! My boys enjoyed the snack shack. When we came back from buying snacks, we noticed I had driven over a screw and the incredibly nice guys next to us changed our tire for us. Wow. People are awesome.See more..
Have been here several times and just learned Mesa Verde (who administers this unit of the NPS) will be offering several ranger-led tours of Yucca House each week this summer! You can ask at Mesa Verde for a site bulletin with directions to Yucca House (the road to the monument crosses private lands and so is the parking area on private land) and they have a National Parks Passport Stamp too. Once you get directions you can go to the site, respecting the landowners you'll pass on your way there. Once at the site park off the road and walk a short distance to the gate. Write your name in the register, open and close the gate behind you. Enjoy walking around the site. This isn't developed, so no access for wheelchairs, strollers, etc. You'll find pottery sherds on the ground. Please don't take them: that act is illegal (Antiquities Act of 1906) and they should be left where you find them. Watch for snakes!See more..
3.5Great Sand Dunes Oasis(22 reviews) - Definitely an “oasis” near the Great Dune Sands National Park Spent More than 3 hours Gear Rentals
This is the ONLY place within 20-30 miles near the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Because of Covid, the building is not open to the public and one needs masks to order anything. Our experience has been very good and we ordered a couple of meals (sandwich and salad) from the restaurant which were really high quality, plentiful and delicious. It appears a bit run down, but has a pretty much everything you could want and everyone who helped us was very nice. Make sure and check the hours, depending on the day, the restaurant closes at 4, not sure about the other part.See more..
3.0Paradise Cove Swimming Hole(22 reviews) - Great for Cliff Jumping, Not Enough Space to Swim Bodies of Water
Beautiful spot; quick and easy 10 minute hike from parking ($6 fee to park). We thoroughly enjoyed cliff jumping into the water and lounging in the sun. We came to jump, not swim, but if swimming had been our goal we would have been disappointed, as the swimming hole is quite small and therefore doesn't allow for people to swim safely while others are jumping into the water from the cliffs above. Either way, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely come back if we return to the area.See more..
3.5Brighton Oasis Family Aquatic Park(21 reviews) - Clean pool but HATE how you enter Water Parks You will get trampled to death when people make a rush for a seat. I have 2 little boys that get pushed aside by large women. Prices are decent. At least it is kept clean.See more..
3.5Celebrity Lanes(21 reviews) - Good time Monday: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM Bowling Alleys
We went here with about 10 friends and 2 infants. We had a great time. The staff is very friendly and the 2 infants got to bowl their own turn during our game. This place is very clean. We did not play any of the arcade because we did not have enough time. We will be going back soonSee more..

3.0Desert Reef Hot Spring(19 reviews) - Springs was great Monday: Spent 2-3 hours Thermal Spas
If I didn't need to use the bathroom or shower area this place was great. It's super secluded. The drive on the dirt road off the highway was interesting but there are signs to follow which made it easier to find. I was interested to see how I would like being in a hot springs in the middle of the desert but it was great! The pool had calcium that you floated around in. There was neat calcium buildup in one of the corners. There's a big tent shelter with tables and a fridge and some shelter around the pool. I wish I could have taken pictures but no pictures/phones allowed inside. I used the pool noodles and just floated. It was quiet and peaceful. Lucy was the lady that showed us around, she was really nice. I would love to go back!See more..
3.5West Woods Golf Club(18 reviews) - Very nice golf course Golf Courses We play here about twice a month. The green fees are very reasonable - weekday Senior rate is $38 including the cart. The course is in excellent condition and well cared for. There are 3 sets of nine holes. We like the Sleeping Indian-Cottonwood combo. Don't like the Silo 9 very much. Food in the bar & grill is first rate.See more..
3.5Keystone Sports - River Run Rentals(17 reviews) - Mountain golf at its finest, million dollar views Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Gear Rentals

3.5Pueblo Railway Museum(17 reviews) - Great for trainbuffs! Mostly outside, but with a guide, see the train shop! Spent 2-3 hours Speciality Museums
Fun to walk among the old trains, but take time to arrange a tour with Ron (his contact information is on the web-site! He is a fountain of information with deep roots in the railroad. He'll take you to the inside shop where they are working to restore trains. He loves the trains and a small donation would be welcome for this all volunteer museum!See more..
Although there are so many great courses to play in Colorado and I wouldn’t say here is at the top of the list, Colorado National GC is still a quality course. Great variety, long, beautiful mountain views, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a good restaurant make this easy to recommend.See more..
3.5Evergreen Family Golf Center(16 reviews) - Good Mountain Golf at a great price! Monday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Golf Courses
Golf is sometimes a game of snobbery with people whining and kvetching about all sorts of nonsense. The Evergreen Golf Course, run by the city of Denver with a weekly 18 round price of $20.00 is about as good a value as you can get AND it comes with great scenery and a view of the lake that you just don't get anywhere else. Is it a pristine course? No, the cart paths are dirt in most places but the fairways are challenging, clean, well maintained, and the greens are smooth and fast........even the ones with the Elk footprints on them! (We were told over 100 Elk migrating back and forth on the course is normal although we were spared on the day we played.) I've even played on better mountain courses but this course is a great day of golf and anyone would be remiss if they passed it up! I played with a foursome with friends from Mass. and Calif. and they ALL said they could not WAIT to play again...... and I agree wholeheartedly.See more..
3.5Topgolf(16 reviews) - Fun for all. Even if you’ve never golfed. Spent 1-2 hours Game & Entertainment Centers
