2 Star Places To Visit in Colorado, United States (27)
2.5Jackson Lake State Park(54 reviews) - Jackson Lake has potential Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours State Parks
This park is an "Oasis in the Plains," for swimming, boating, fishing and waterskiing. But that's not all... Jackson Lake is ranked one of the "Top 15 Park Beaches" by Reserve America. Anglers, boaters, or naturalists realizing there’s too much fun for just one day enjoy the variety of water or land-based recreation land-based facilities found here. Birders and hunters flock here because of the parks location in the Central Flyway for migratory birds. Quiet winter months provide hearty wildlife viewers some excellent opportunities to spot the many animals that live here. No matter the season, Jackson Lake is, as novelist James Michener suggests, “an oasis of the plains."See more..
The campsite was nice, the location was really nice (only being 45 minutes west of Denver), but the facilities were disgusting. The campsite offers one fresh water spigot and you have to drive to get to it. The restrooms are plentiful, but they appear to have lacked any maintenance since they were installed. Unfortunately having a 5 year old daughter I had to make several trips to the restroom. It was everything I had to keep from puking as you get within 10-15 feet of the toilet. If this campsite wasn't so close, I would probably never go again, simply because of the restroom conditions. I will be looking next year for a new location to camp.See more..
2.5The Greeley Mall(24 reviews) - Sad to see a mall so dead. Monday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
I had never been to greeley mall before, we went to visit the playground which is located in the mall. My son and I walked around before visiting the playground and was saddened by the closed shops and lack of people walking around. The mall had a few big chain shops and more smaller, local shops. I am hoping they can stay open. I’m guessing the foot traffic here is low and will probably only get lower with the growth of online shopping. The mall needs some updating as the style felt old worldly. See more..
2.0Bowlero(20 reviews) - Way overpriced! Bowling Alleys
Reserved a lane online and here's a screenshot of the cost. Two people at 7:30p.m. because that was the only available time. How is it this much for bowling??? two people!! Not to mention the "Event Fee"...? there is no even! They're trying to make their money back for covid by making you pay for $20 for food/drinks per person.See more..
2.5Gubbini Winery(13 reviews) - Tasting room Wineries & Vineyards Although we had tried to visit this winery the night before, they were closed so I was thrilled when we were directed to the open tasting room in town by a guy at a table at the Sunday street fair. The woman working was not the very most helpful; maybe she wanted to close. They were only giving tastes of white and fruit wine, which I sampled. As more of a red drinker, I bought a bottle of red without having tasted it. The woman could not get my card to work for some reason but we managed with cash. There were cute things for sale in addition to the wine.See more..
2.5Paintball Adventures(10 reviews) - Good field but there’s a better field for a little cheaper and nicer staff. Game & Entertainment Centers We took our kids here for a fun day of paintball. We all had fun but the staff was not very helpful or eager to see if we needed anything. Don’t get me wrong. This was a fun day. But the following weekend my kids wanted to go again. I looked into other fields and found Dynamic Paintball off Jewell ave near aurora. We went there and WOW what a difference. Same fun adventure and day but the staff, Nat especially, was amazing. We were asked multiple times throughout the day if we needed anything, were having fun, etc. It was night and day compared to paintball adventures. We had fun at both places but I’d have to say Dynamic Paintball was better and ultimately was less expensive.See more..

I would rent at your own risk. Equipment is in poor shape, staff sucks, bindings not adjusted properly, and it is really dirty. I was so sad. We spent so much money and had a terrible experience. Lesson learned, take the ski train and ski at nicer resorts!See more..
My family of 12 were looking to rent a pontoon boat, $450We have a pug and when we asked about taking the Pug with his life vest, she became overly animated and sarcastically said, “I said no pets”!, “and it will take time to get it ready , I have to clean it first”. Then sure refused to wait on us. My grandkids were disappointed. I was 12 years old when I first went to Vallecito in 1970. A man by the name of Ken Natski owned the marina and everyone was treated respectfully as not just a customer, but a friend. This marina is the only one up there now, so they have a monopoly and can be just as rude as they want. I was disappointed. We were at the marina around 1:30 on June 28th.See more..
Had an amazing experience at virgin island ski rentals! Marvin, Isaac, Noah, and Blake was an amazing help on making sure we had the right size and that we were very comfortable in what we had. They also made sure we was would be safe if something was to happen. You will not be disappointed!! Thanks guys!!See more..
I was visiting from out of town and we went to see this. it wasn't spectacular, but fun for kids and adults. you tune your car to the radio station and drive through. $30 might be a stretch, but load up your car, bring hot cocoa with you and enjoy. I am visiting again this year and will go again.See more..

2.0Massage Envy Spa Thornton(5 reviews) - Horrible Management Monday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spas I had an appointment for a facial and a massage. Apparently there was an error on the schedule and my masseuse was not even scheduled to be in until later. The manager proceeded to tell me they have no control of things like this. Really the don't control their schedule? I had to sit here for an hour to wait for the facial. Horrifying business. The manager was useless. Basically told me there was nothing they could do. This place sucks!!!!! See more..

2.0Red Shin Hiking Trail(2 reviews) - What was that person thinking? Hiking Trails I saw the remark about pit bulls and chains and had to ask myself who would make a remark like that without explanation? It's nutz! It's almost a five-mile walk that allows you to see most of the park, but the fact is this is prairie, so some of the walk is dry and without much vegetation. Walking around the lakes at Hasty Campground, however is excellent! And you can walk for many miles along the shore of the reservoir.See more..
2.5Flat Top-Peach Valley Recreation Area(2 reviews) - Adobe badlands look desolate, but are a great place for outdoor activity Nature & Wildlife Areas The "dobies" just east and north of Montrose are barren-looking hills which can sometimes be hot, dusty, and windy, but they can also be a great place for family fun. The 9700 acres are part of the 64,000 acre Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area adjacent to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The unique recreation area has open areas where motorcycle and ATV riders and mountain bikers (plus hikers and horseback riders) can ride cross country, along with miles of singletrack and primitive dirt roads through more restricted areas. I'd recommend picking up a trail system map at the Montrose BLM office or print one online. On a recent late winter visit, we found the Peach Valley site pleasantly warm, dry and free of snow, a perfect place to enjoy playing with a radio control Monster truck, dogs, and kids. Next time we'll bring kites! There are picnic tables and restrooms available, but be sure to bring water.See more..

2.0Lake Meridith(1 review) - Consider the bathroom options Bodies of Water Great Lake and beach that you can camp at. However, Crowley County, If you are going to install a pit toilet, hire someone to maintain it. This is the worst pit toilet I have experienced, included travels in Africa. I know it’s the users that foul it up and dump garbage, but the reality is now, people just just the beach as their toilet. Clean it regularly or demolish it. See more..
2.0National Archives at Denver(1 review) - Very little help Monday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Libraries The National Archives at Denver's nearly 50,000 cubic feet of archival holdings are comprised of Federal records that date from the mid-1800s to the late 1900s received from over 100 Federal agencies and courts in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.See more..
