    Journey Behind the Falls image
This is an excellent attraction which gives an opportunity to experience the raw power of nature first hand. The vantage points beneath the falls are impressive. Unfortunately an equally lasting memory is the time spent queuing unnecessarily. We bought tickets online which on other attractions means you proceed straight to entry and have a QR code scanned. Simple. Here, you queue in the general queue to redeem for tickets, although those who have prebooked could be hanfled quickly everyone is together. After at least an hour you join another queue to enter behind the falls. This queue has no barriers and is littered with people waiting for family who are in the other queue. Then follows a queue for ponchos and photos. As i say its good, but if on a timescale other attractions manage the queues well and this would be one to miss See more..

    Spencer Gorge Conservation Area image
From the escarpment brow, noted for its panoramas, to the forested depths of the gorge below, the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area exhibits the physical features which have made the Niagara Escarpment one of Ontario's most spectacular geological formations. This significant natural area contains two beautiful waterfalls: Webster and Tew Falls. Webster is a magnificent tiered waterfall and Tew, which towers at 41 metres, is only a few metres shorter than Niagara Falls. Both offer spectacular vistas of the gorge. See more..

    - Stunning Landscape

    Cheltenham Badlands image
Visited the Cheltenham Badlands today. Spectacular sight - might be more so as we ease into Fall and the Fall colours become more vibrant. I am always enthralled and intrigued by natural phenomena. I am glad that the Credit Valley Conservation which administers the site has developed a system to monitor capacity and that the new viewing platform will preserve the site so it can be enjoyed into the future. Definitely worth a visit. See more..

Beautiful Long Point beach, but I came here to talk about the fish and chips. So, first, long point is beautiful. Just go, have a drive, walk the beach, do some fishing. What ever you like, it is a prestine, amazing spot to do it. Now, I really came her eto write a review for the Chip Ship food truck. Beautiful fish and chips set on the little canal with boats passing by. The staff are friends, the food is amazing and the setting is perfect. A must if you are in the area. See more..

    - Fabulous rest stop
    Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Geologic Formations • Waterfalls
    Aguasabon Falls & Gorge image
With long days driving through N. Ontario one needs breaks. Luckily I had read of this place online so we planned to stop. I have some minor mobility issues and the boardwalk shown in pictures made me confident I could do this. Just a short distance from the parking lot, you encounter the walk and wooden steps down to the viewing platform. Good sturdy metal railings on both sides ensure safety on the multilevel stairway. The view is amazing with the waterfall on the left and a VERY deep narrow gorge below. There were also families enjoying the spot. Hikes are also available from there but I cannot comment as we did not partake. See more..

Stone Road Alvar Nature Reserve image
I enjoyed hiking here. In September the bugs were not bothering me but you could certainly hear them in the surrounding bushes. I particularly enjoyed the beach area and saw the limestone. Knowing this is a part of Pelee Island history made this enjoyable. See more..
  7. 5.0 Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Nature Reserve (3 reviews)
    - Impressive and accessible crevice caves

Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Nature Reserve image
This nature reserve is best accessed along the Osprey Clearview Townline where it bends to become Eagle Cresent. There is lots of free street parking available and a large sign to indicate the trailhead. The most interesting features are the extensive crevice caves, which can be accessed by taking the left fork of the main loop trail for about 0.5 km until you reach the Standing Rock side trail. The right arm of the main loop also features a lush forest and several lookouts over the surrounding valley. There was a welcome breeze coming off the escarpment which kept the bugs away for the most part, however they can be a pest deeper into the woods. You can combine the various side trails for a longer hike, lots of options here. See more..
