    Presqu'ile Provincial Park image
My friends and I were staying in a cottage nearby and thought to venture out to this park. It’s cost us $21 per vehicle to gain a one day pass. There are many different parts of the park you can go to. There are beaches, the lighthouse, the marsh boardwalk and countless trails!! There are washrooms in the building at the front of the park and then there are many outhouses throughout the park. This place was great for a day trip. See more..
  2. 4.5 Lake Superior Provincial Park (262 reviews)
    - Stunning!

    Lake Superior Provincial Park image
We had one night camping in Agawa Bay and to explore the park. Our campsite was located just across from the beach and had a nice view and was an okay size. The campground is beside the highway so there is a steady flow of traffic and transport trucks that can be heard. We first went to pictographs which was a cool piece of history we hadn’t seen before. The pictographs are located against the lake so it can be a little slippy and scary at times. After we went to Bathtub Island from Katherine Cove. The sunset from the campground was beautiful and so was Old Woman Bay. I’d like to come back to explore the trails of this park. See more..
  3. 4.5 Rushing River Provincial Park (198 reviews)
    - Loved it so much, we return every year
    State Parks
    Rushing River Provincial Park image
The park is beautiful, there are multiple hiking trails with beautiful scenery. Some of the camp sites are a little close together but the one we had was completely private and stunning. There was a ton of space for us to set up our tent, Gazebo, & have our dog roam around. The lake is clean and gorgeous. We had ducks wander up from the lake into our camp site. Canoes are available, there are multiple islands to canoe out to for a picnic lunch. New bathrooms & showers in the campground. See more..
  4. 4.5 Inverhuron Provincial Park (136 reviews)
    - Peaceful and invigorating Provincial Park
    State Parks
    Inverhuron Provincial Park image
We visited this campground in September 2020. The campsite and washrooms were excellent, with regular cleaning of the washrooms occuring due to Covid-19. We had a beautiful campsite, with a pull-thru configuration, electricity, firepit and very private site. We could hear the water from our campsite, and enjoyed the various nature present. Staff were very pleasant and engaging, and security drove through at regular intervals (camp wardens). See more..
  5. 4.5 Chutes Provincial Park (106 reviews)
    - Great Fall camping

    Chutes Provincial Park image
Stayed here for 3 nights during the last wknd of the season for 2022, weather was beautiful ( though chilly at night ) and the foliage was spectacular along the river which made for a beautiful hike. Our site was a decent size and clean when we arrived, and the place was nice and quiet as well for the entire weekend, nice thing about the Chutes is it does not get ridiculously packed out like the parks a little more southeast do and I doubt most of the people who travel the hwy 17 corridor even know its there. Definitely worth a visit. See more..
  6. 4.5 Murphys Point Provincial Park (104 reviews)
    - June Ottawa visit

    Murphys Point Provincial Park image
This is our first visit to Murphys Point PP. Lovely park, well groomed trails, friendly staff and lots of large spacious sites. We have a 30ft 5th wheel and secured a lovely site (#55) right across from the water. Great breeze always blowing off the Rideau River !! Lovely beach and play area for your kids!! Our 4 legged fur baby even had a swim!! Would definitely come back to this park. See more..
  7. 3.5 Voyageur Provincial Park (73 reviews)
    - Camping for Everyone at Voyageur
    State Parks • Parks
    Voyageur Provincial Park image
We have been going to Voyageur now for 7 years. ( Only a 40 minute drive from home ). With 3 different Campgrounds there is sure to be something for evryone. They have Radio Free, Pet Free sections, secluded sites, sites that are right on the water or if you prefer open sites.. Many sites have electricity and you can fill up your Trailers water reservoir right after the Main Office. The staff are very friendy and helpful, washrooms are clean, 4 beaches can be found in the Campground. The road is excellent for biking, walking ( you might even see some deer ) We prefer staying in the Portage section, find it more quiet and I find the sites are more private. Personally I find the best time to go to this Park is May, early June then anytime after Labour Day, we have always had great weather the last weekend that they are open, which is Thanksgiving. Bonus of going camping here in October is that the Canadian Geese stop here before migrating to the south. See more..
  8. 4.5 Mikisew Provincial Park (65 reviews)
    - Friendliest Park!
    State Parks
    Mikisew Provincial Park image
This was the friendliest campground that I have been to and I have been to many. Campers, staff, and even the people in South River were all friendly and helpful. It is smaller than other PPs but it is of high quality including beach, lake, and the campground service. The canoeing and fishing were great, the ice cream at the convenience store just outside the park is super tasty. We loved a day trip to Screaming Heads in Burk's Falls. The showers were available unlike last year and it was so nice! Surprisingly not many mosquitos, deer flies, or caterpillars especially for a mid-June trip! And the only "critter" we saw was one rabbit! There are many dogs at this place and my own dog enjoyed the dog beach. We will definitely return here next year! See more..
  9. 5.0 Depot Lakes Conservation Area and Campground (2 reviews)
    - Great place to camp
Spent More than 3 hours State Parks • Bodies of Water • Islands • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Waterfalls
Depot Lakes Conservation Area and Campground image
It is a great place to camp, with sites quite separated from each other, great staff. It is far away from everything between Hwy7 and Kingston. When you get here be prepared with all necessities. To go on the lake you can rent canoes. One of the minuses red ants that really bite so get some spray with you. See more..
  10. 4.5 Mark S. Burnham Provincial Park (2 reviews)
    - Perfect Spot for a Quick Nature Walk
    State Parks
Mark S. Burnham Provincial Park image
Easy to find and right off the highway, this park is a great place to go if you want to go for a nature walk but don't have a lot of time. You can easily go for a nice walk and be home in an hour or so. The park features an old forest, with trees over 200 years old. There is a parking lot, bathroom facilities, and a large picnic pavilion if you want to eat. There are benches scattered throughout the park so you can rest or enjoy the scenery. There are two main hiking loops with the larger one being 1.5 km. There are some hills, roots and rocks but the trails are great for everyone, whether they hike often or not. The park is right off the highway which means you can hear the traffic if you are near the edge of the property. But once you go further into the park, the sounds fade away and it is quite peaceful. Pet friendly. No bikes. See more..
