Located in downtown Port Perry I found the only parking I could find was on the street. Getting in is well organized, they take COVID protocols seriously and I felt safe there. Inside they have a ton of beers to choose from, and there are combo packs, four beers mixed together. I got one to go and enjoyed it immensely. Out back there is a ton of seating! I asked the guy behind the counter, he said we could take a seat, then get a pizza delivered or bring a bucket of chicken and rock out. If it wasn't so far away I would certainly return! I posted back early in 2019 and thought I'd provide an update. Late last June Leanne and I were married in the "old section" (now brewery section) of Kame & Kettle. Our small gathering of 20 had an absolute blast and were treated to the finest pub food (NO deep fryer here......) and beer! This pub is right on the main street of Stayner, so you may pass it on the way through this lovely town, coming or going. It is worth stopping! The food is great--interesting, light and well-portioned. Not huge portions that you can't eat, but definitely ample. We had the fish, a meal salad and the special quesidillas. All were perfect. There are both local and popular beers on tap. The service is friendly and welcoming. And the place itself is perfect, Smaller than most pubs, which is great right now, and brighter and cheerier than most pubs. But still definitely a pub/diner, clearly a favourite with the locals. Visited Los Cabos for dinner yesterday and it was a brilliant experience. The restaurant gives an authentic impression as soon as you walk in and you won't be disappointed. We visited the day before without a reservation so didn't get a seat so we made one this time. It's recommended to do so as it has limited seating when bad weather moves in as the outside seating can't be used. The staff were great and will go through the menu if you need to. As we were a group of 5, we went for a range of dishes so we can try a few things and everything was great. We don't find many Mexican places in UK apart from some high street chains so this gave me a chance to try some authentic dishes. A few friends and I visited Simcoe Blues and Jazz Pub and were really impressed with the band that played that night we were there. The band was called The Other Band and wow were they fantastic. They played classic rock, 70's & 80's and we were pleasantly surprised since we don't care much for Jazz or Blues. We vowed to go again and bring a bigger group of friends. We rounded up close to thirty people to go and see them perform on January 21 but unfortunately had to call off our plan at the last minute. They were cancelled and we were disappointed. After a drive from Montreal I decided to stay at the Best Western Bowmanville and wanted a nice place to have supper in s relaxing atmosphere. I found the place!! The Village Inn is a great Irish Pub at the corner of Queen Street and King Street. I decided to walk from the hotel to get some exercise. This was a 25 minute walk or about 3200 steps if you count! I had the roast beef special with mashed potatos and grilled veggies (cauliflower, broccoli and carrots) which were really enjoyable. The beef was substantial and was cooked nicely with gravy. All was really good. The menu is the typical Irish fare ( fish and chips etc) all in the 13$ range. Same as the roast beef special. They have numerous beers, I had a local craft beer Monitler Launch blond which was excellent. I highly recommend the outdoor terrase. The server Matt was attentive and polite.
