    - Excellent experience!

    Sugarbush Hill Maple Farm image
My husband and I just had a tour here and it was excellent! The owners are very nice and personable. We learned a lot about the history of maple syrup and how it was made, and we learned how overtime the process changed. Then we were able to see how it is made now and, and we hiked through the woods to see the maple trees up close. At the end we got to try two different kinds of syrup- both were excellent! And my husband tried the maple ice cream and he LOVED it! I would definitely recommend this wonderful experience! See more..

Nacho average cheese shop, in queso you are planning a trip there. Much better than the stuff they serve at the Stilton - they really blue it. That stuff was so bad it envoked my un-brie-dled rage and made my blood curdle.. may they be edamed for eternity! No matter which way you slice it, it was a gouda time. See more..

    Howell Family Pumpkin Farm image
Wonderful experience at the pumpkin patch.. It was our first time visiting with friends and family. Had arrived late so couldn't explore everything as it got dark. Its a good place for kids there's so much for them to play and experience. Wouldn't recommend the food as there's not a lot of option and also looks more pricey. Masks are mandatory but found many without the masks so keep things in mind about social distancing. Glad that they had hand sanitizers hooked up in every corner so it got easy for us to keep sanitizing every time we touched something. We girls all had crazy fun.. Jumping on the trampoline, sling shots, puppet shows, feeding the goats.. exploring and also took great pictures.. Will definitely return next year hopefully early so that we can explore the sunflower field and many more that we missed.. See more..

This place is a constant stop on our road trips to the Woodstock/Norwich area from Mississauga. I like that they let you sample different cheeses so you can be sure to spend your money on something you will love at home. They have some really unique flavours, but their 5 Brothers is "award winning" for a reason: "it combines traits from Gouda and another Swiss variety called Appenzeller and delicately aged on cedar wood planks adding robust flavors to the cheese" (from their site). Enjoy! See more..

    - Sunflower Experience

    Pingles Farm Market image
Pingles is doing an amazing job organizing so many fun experiences. We had to reschedule our Sunflower Experience due to thunder & lightening & their customer service was amazing & very accommodating. Two ways I think this could've been better; there seemed to be a lot of people during my time slot so there were constant lines just to get in & for picture spots like the swings & while most people were considerate, there was one lady who ignored the fact that we were all standing in line to access the swings & then pretended she didn't speak english when others tried to explain to her that we were all in one line up. There were 3 workers at the cash register nearby and one person should've been designated to help with the flow of traffic at that spot in particular because it seemed like the most popular. Also, the "free" tarts could've been handed out at the outside stand at the end instead of having to wait in yet another huge line up to get inside the store. We decided it wasn't worth the wait & left. For a family of 5 it cost us $80 which is costly for the overall experience. See more..

Very cute, lots to do, good for all ages but better for the 6-10 year old range. Apples picked clean from the bottom of the trees, and there are no ladders, so be ready to lift your kid up so they can pick for you. I wished their market was easier to access from within the playland area- we got hungry while there but nowhere to buy food without going out and all the way around. Went for FearFarm for the first time and it was excellent!!! Was able to do all six haunts with the regular pass on a sold out night (Sat, Oct 15). I had SO much fun and would recommend it to anyone looking to get more in the Halloween spirit. The haunts were very creative and my friends and I were all sufficiently spooked by the end of the night. Very organized event - they space out the groups so that you are able to enjoy the haunts without it being super crowded inside. There will be lines outside so wear warm clothes (bring gloves, hats, hand/foot warmers). The actors did a great job too they were all very into their characters! See more..

    Mountain Orchards image
Spent about three hours there on a beautiful sunny day. I was surprised how busy they were. The staff was easy to spot with their red tops and helpful, friendly and professional. The pre-picked apples prices similarly to commerce. The long line to the apple donuts and cashiers was extremely long but moved well, less than 10 minutes. The young cashier in my opinion needs more training as she had issues with the point of sale debit machine. Good thing that there was a mature lady maning the other cash counter, she resolved very well. Walk thru the farm and maze relaxing and enjoyed, We found that the clients and visitors were very mindful of each other. Masks were worn. The hot dogs good and we sat at the picnic table for that. Not rushed and no one invaded that covid-bubble. Very clean, lots of parking and the quality up there. See more..

    Wolfe Island Corn Maze image
Came here on a whim in August 2017 with my wife and two boys and couldn't be happier that we did. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly farmer, Garth. He told us about the maze and gave us each a walkie-talkie. We broke up into teams - kids vs. parents. The kids were ecstatic at the prospect of being able to run free on their own while trying to beat their parents to the finish. At one point, I paused in the middle of the maze to fully appreciate the moment. The sky was bright blue and there was a sweet breeze in the air. The sound of birds singing was interrupted by the laughter of my kids over the walkie-talkie as they made their way from checkpoint to checkpoint, delighted that they were winning. I think that if I live to be 100, this will be one of the happiest memories of my life. See more..

Found it by pure accident while drive around local area. Parking lot was full when we arrived which is always a good sign. We arrived later in the day and thankfully staff was willing to make extra strawberry tarts for us :) They literally melt in your mouth....tart dough is just right and strawberry jam was super yummy. Just the right size guilty pleasure bite too. They have pick your own berries but opted for the picjed ones in the fridge. Right out of the field and some of the best tasting strawberries I've ever eaten. Never had a walnut butter tart before but it is also sinfully good. Alike like our USA pecan pie but gave to admit, much better tasting.... They have a nice playground area for younger kids and staff are so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much. I have to admit that the level of customer service in the Ontario region is far superior to that in the states. In the winter maple fest is a fun place for the whole family! You can learn about the maple process or enjoy the numerous activities available. Plus everyone love maple taffy on a stick!! In the summer berry picking was a treat (with new COVID restrictions I’m not sure how this will work). Their selection of jams and jellies on location or at the Peterborough farmers market downtown means there’s something for everyone. They even have AMAZING seedless strawberry jam for those with dietary restrictions!!! See more..

For the last 15 years I have been a regular all summer long. The strawberries are the best I have ever had. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. After picking berries there is a lovely little cafe for ice cream, baked goods, hot dogs, etc Once berry season is over they have a wide assortment of other veggies including wonderful corn. They also carry local products from other farms including beef, cheese and milk. For even more try cranberries, peanut butter, maple syrup and chocolate. Once fall comes look for pumpkins and a corn maze. Really worth the visit. See more..
