4.5Timber Creek Golf(77 reviews) - Amazing mini golf experience Golf Courses
This was our first time at Timber Creek Golf and I would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and really are there to help the lineups move along. The one thing I would recommend is doing the shipwrecked first if the golf course is not to busy, as it is the most popular and lineups are worse for it. I would like to thank whoever ownes this mini golf, it is really nice to go and have family fun at very reasonable .See more..

Very enjoyable golf course. Other than the sand traps the course is in excellent shape, better than any I have played this year. Course is quite hilly would recommend taking a cart. We teed off at 10.00am and played in four hours. Would definitely play again.See more..
We’ll be back. Better than we expected. It was very hot and humid for both rounds but we really enjoyed our first visit. Challenging, well marked, foursomes moved well… I may have lost too many balls though. Great views.See more..
Very well organized with 20 min tee times, and limitations to access. Was a little bewildered as to why the range wasn't open. Its plenty wide enough to accommodate 6 ft spacing to allow a warm up. Maybe not to practice golfers but paying $75 should at least get you a warm-up? Paying $75 was steep and will get old fast. The greens were a little full of poana-grass and made for a bumpy , slow putt. No beverage cart so that was frustrating. Especially it was very hot. Could order at the turn, and did. all in all a very expensive day with golf, food and a beverage plus the travel, costs over $130. Also heard no memberships this year so they dont really care about past /future members loyalty.See more..

Best value in the entire area. Course is short 5100 from whites - low 300's par 4s and low 400 part 5, Blues 5400yds. Difficulty is added from some narrow fairways, lots of trees and smaller greens. Greens are a little slow, but consistent. Greens can be difficult to stick. Can be slow at times. Lots of retirees in no hurry. After 2pm is twilight - $40 with cart. A lot better than $59 at Monterra for 9 holes. Not a high quality course, but excellent value. Will come back again.See more..
4.0Firerock Golf Club(37 reviews) - Golf course Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
The ghostly remnants of an exhausted sand and gravel operation on the outskirts of London, ON form the heart and soul of Southwestern Ontario’s most exciting public golf course. FireRock Golf Club - a dazzling Tom McBroom championship design - continues to take its spot among the best public golf facilities in the province in a private-like country setting.Framed by natural grasses and trees, captivating land forms and ragged handmade bunkers, this stunning course flows effortlessly over pastureland, across environmentally significant Savannah grasses and the Oxbow River valley, intertwining with existing gravel spoil piles. The challenging par-72 championship design (73 from the forward tees) measures 5,672-yards from the forward White tees, 6,279-yards from the Blues, 6,676-yards from the Gold tees and stretches back to a very demanding 7,183-yards from the tips. While many of McBroom’s masterpieces are at private clubs, FireRock offers a chance for the public player to experience a brilliant design at a reasonable price. The variety and challenge of the holes is designed for golfers of all skill levels. 4.5Shelter Valley Pines Golf Club(30 reviews) - What a Gem!! Well worth a visit. Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Golf Courses
Still an amazing gem of a course. Yes, 1st hole a bit unorthodox, but very nice with a blind dog-leg right and elevated green. The vistas on several holes are the most spectacular I have seen at a golf club, as a result of the elevation use (you’ll need a power cart for 18!). The more recently added back 9 holes are especially challenging and scenic. All very well maintained, with very friendly service.See more..

4.5Briars Golf Club(30 reviews) - First time there. Golf Courses
The Briars Golf Club is located just one hour from Toronto on the southern shores of Lake Simcoe. As you wind your way along historic Hedge Road, you immediately feel relaxed and understand the allure of this location. Two Canadian design legends have combined to bring you a delightful dose of golf at its best. Stanley Thompson carved out the original nine holes in 1922. Robbie Robinson integrated a second nine in 1972, creating a seamless routing that may look fairly innocuous on paper, but will be appreciated for its subtle charms. The Briars is the epitome of the old-style course. A great walking course, with its well manicured tree lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers, that narrow into undulating velvety slick greens, the Briars offers a challenge for all levels of golfers.See more..

The magnificently scenic 18 holes gives one the sense that they have been part of the landscape for many years. Played the course for the first time while here on vacation from thr UK . After reading some of the more disparaging reviews I can honestly say that they now seem to have their act together. They now have a resident pro and are very organised . The course itself is in very good condition with fast undulating greens , the front nine is tight but not over long while the back nine is more open but a little longer . Play was a little slow but the Marshalls were out to keep groups up to speed but you have to remember that there are a lot of cottage owners new to golf and everyone has the right to learn and even if here is a holdups views are stunning especially from the 10th tee ,as scenic as anywhere I’ve played anywhere in the world In short a very good course that seems to be improving all the timeSee more..

2.5Wasaga Sands Golf Course(21 reviews) - Good Layout, Playable length but a little too pricey Golf Courses Played here on a Thurs morning, bought a Golfnow coupon for $44 (was for walking), but adding a cart cost $18 more, total round costs over $62, a little much for the quality of course overall. The layout of the course was ok, good mix of both short and longer holes. The greens are mostly elevated, 17 is really elevated and is a blind approach shot. Front nine plays easier than back nine. Back nine has several doglegs and some blind shots that require local knowledge for improved scoring. Greens would hold solid struck irons, green speed was good, not too slow or fast. Course not too long from back tees, just over 6000 yards, 3 of the par 4's were strong at over 400 plus. Overall enjoyed the course and scored ok, but felt like it should have been $20-25 cheaper in cost.See more..

What a great night we had at Widder Sept. 24, 2021. The Shelley Rastin band entertained us with an almost not stop set from 6:00 - 9:00 + pm on the outside stage. The setting is awesome, and as most of the audience were friends as are the band members it was extremely special. We were blessed with a beautiful evening under the stars. Our understanding is that they intend to add some additions so that they can keep it open all winter, outside, using the fireplaces and gas heaters and a heated cement pad. My only issue is, Pay an experienced bartender, a decent wage, to serve the patrons better and make a hell of a lot more money. Unfortunately for all businesses in this area, help is hard to get. I didn't vote for Justin Time. One of the greatest moments was when a helicopter swooped over the crowd, turned around and landed beside the stage. The special was Fish & Chips, and they were very, very, good.See more..

Within easy driving distance north of Metro Toronto and on the shores of beautiful Lake Simcoe is this gem of a course. I have been a member here for more than 20 years and still find this course to be a challenge and a delight to play. The front nine of this cottage country course was designed by famed golf architect Stanley Thompson in 1922. The back nine was added many years later and designed by Bert Turcotte. The front nine features narrow fairways and smaller greens and requires precise accurate shots. The back nine is more wide open with larger greens but features some challenging dog legs and numerous ditches that may or may not be full of water. There are a number of very tough par 3's on both the front and back. The greens staff does an excellent job of keeping this course in superb shape. The Pro Shop staff are extremely welcoming to everyone who walks in the door, pay as you play and members both.See more..
