4.5Toronto Island Park(8.526 reviews) - Plan a day trip on this island Saturday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Islands • Parks
This park in Toronto is a haven for travelers looking to spend a fun-filled day in the great outdoors. Rent a bike at Centre Island Pier—which has fantastic views of Lake Ontario—and explore the park's many trails and paths. You can also have a picnic at Olympic Island while admiring the stunning views of the Toronto skyline. The kids will love the Centreville Amusement Park and petting zoo, too. In the evening, head to Hanlan’s Point Beach to catch one of the best sunsets in Toronto. The park can be explored on a bike tour of Toronto, which often includes other sights along the city's waterfront. – TripadvisorSee more..
A trip out to Flowerpot Island is a great way to experience Fathom Five National Marine Park. Private tour Boats leaving from Tobermory take visitors over shipwrecks and offer opportunities to see some of the islands in the park. Once you arrive at Flowerpot Island, visitors are treated to crystal clear waters, the Lighthouse Museum, trails, and of course the unique geology of the islands which includes caves and the famous Flowerpots. While you're on the island, remember: - Carry out all your garbage - Pack water and snacks - Don't climb the Flowerpots and remain on the designated trails - Take only pictures leave only footprintsSee more..
The park has paths that take you through some wooden areas and by the water. There are a lot of animals to be seen, no need to observe long, they are simply everywhere from local birds, to squirrels, chipmunks, geese, ducks, etc. Although I didn’t do it myself, I noted that people bring sunflowers sends and leave the, in the woods which prompts lots of activity for the fauna. It is beautiful and fun for everyone.See more..
4.0Long Sault Parkway(83 reviews) - Milles roches beach is family fun! Spent < 1 hour Islands • Parks
Amazing for people who love nature, picnicking, being outside, and cycling. I can’t comment on the camping because we only visited for the day but we did notice that there are many campsites! We stopped at Mille Roches beach and we will definitely return with our four year old. We stopped with the baby and had a bathroom break and a little walk along the beach. On a Thursday the beach was quiet but there were still a few visitors. The sand was soft and the beach was shallow, perfect for young swimmers. At the end of the beach you can rent paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. The rentals were quoted at $15/1hr or $25/2hrs. There was a great playground, clean toilet facilities, an open air change station and a canteen (closed when we were there). There is lots of parking and the weekends can get quite crowded.See more..
We stopped here to enjoy the views, but didn't realize you can book a glamping tent here. They look phenomenal! This is a nice spot for a chance to get near the St Lawrence River, and contemplate life.See more..

A few smaller beach areas, great for day time and solitude. The water is warm and has a Caribbean look to it This is a must see island, boating is also another way to get across it. See more..
5.0Depot Lakes Conservation Area and Campground(2 reviews) - Great place to camp Spent More than 3 hours State Parks • Bodies of Water • Islands • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Waterfalls
It is a great place to camp, with sites quite separated from each other, great staff. It is far away from everything between Hwy7 and Kingston. When you get here be prepared with all necessities. To go on the lake you can rent canoes. One of the minuses red ants that really bite so get some spray with you.See more..
