4.5Capitol Centre(67 reviews) - Good venue for the performing arts in North Bay Saturday: Theatre & Performances
The Capitol Centre is a not-for-profit organization providing arts and entertainment opportunities, and contributing to the development of performing and visual arts in North Bay and the region of Northeastern Ontario. It is housed in the building originally known as the Capitol Theatre. This multi-use facility was purchased from Famous Players and then renovated to house a 1000-seat proscenium theatre and the WKP Kennedy Gallery. The Capitol Centre is the jewel in the very center of the Northeast. Patrons visit the Capitol Centre from as far away as Cochrane and Timmins to the North and Muskoka to the South. It is home to the North Bay Symphony String School and a number of artists who have studios on the renovated second floor. Our various building spaces are wheelchair accessible thanks to the installation of an elevator only a few years ago. In addition, the theatre is equipped with a Phonic Ear System and a Quiet Room for use during performances. The community looks to the Centre staff for guidance and assistance in producing and presenting exciting community theatre and events. Community theatre groups that utilize the facilities include Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre, TOROS (Theatre Outreach on Stage) and Rep 21. The RBC Galaxy Circle Lounge, Martini Lounge and WKP Kennedy Gallery are sought after for meetings, lectures, presentations, weddings, and parties. Live performances, art exhibits, camps, movies and special events fill the calendar and there are always new events added.See more..

St. Francis Centre for Community, Arts & Culture is the venue for many types of entertainment but in particular, the Ajax Community Theatre. Sadly, their season has ended now until November 2019. A group of us went to see a Johnny Cash Tribute show at the Town Hall. Show was great and the venue was excellent! Seats were very comfortable, not a bad seat in the house. The hall seats approx. 250 people with a small balcony. Hall has a few stairs but not too bad, we saw a sign for an elevator. It has a large room for refreshments which were there for a small donation. The web site was very user friendly with seat availability updated to make your choice easy. Will be going back to enjoy another show.See more..
4.5Migration Hall(5 reviews) - Hidden Gem worth checking out! Theatre & Performances Despite having driven by Migration Hall, and seeing shows advertised for it, I finally made my first visit this past weekend. My wife got tickets to see Guys & Dolls. It was cabaret seating which added to the enjoyment. The acoustics were very good, and staff and volunteers were super helpful and friendly. Parking was plenty. Also....Migration Hall is so easy to get to, that there is no excuse not the check it out at least once! I highly recommend anyone to check out a performance here.See more..

Watched a play here that I won at a golf tournament. You walk into a hall beside the church. When we were watching the play we were sitting in very comfy chairs. The talent is local and the play was very well put together. Kept us laughing all the way through the play. Would highly recommend this place for a play to anyone that is in the area that wants to spend a fabulous time with a loved one. Highly recommend this place to allSee more..
