  10. 2.5 Skyloft Ski Resort (48 reviews)
    - Facilities have not improved
    Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Skyloft Ski Resort image
After reading several reviews, some from at least 2 years back, this place has not improved. I would agree that it's a good deal through groupon if you are a beginner skier and don't know or have big expectations. Most staff are just indifferent not grateful or friendly. Their equipment is definitely rundown, their ski boots smelled and had to request a change. The skies kept coming off as the size lock kept sliding. The guy didn't bother asking for experience level and gave my husband, who had never skied before, long skied and I got a pair of short ones, almost for kids. Only two trails were open including the upper section of the beginner's hill. The cafeteria was cold and not clean. All the tables were dirty and the food was expensive. The bathrooms didn't have toilet paper and towards the end, it smelled horrible. We didn't get charge for parking today, being the first weekend of the season, but $10 for that disorganized and unmaintained parking lot is outrageous. Had an okay experience for the price but would never pay $75 for lift ticket and $45 rental. Almost same price as other high end ski resorts with not even 1/3 of their quality. Would go back only for the closeness to the city and groupon value. I'm a low intermediate and is a good place to teach my husband the basics of the sport. See more..

Monday: Spent 2-3 hours Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Mount Pakenham image
Mont Pakenham is a wonderful hill for families. The ski hills are well groomed and are so much fun for all ages. The staff is very friendly. In my experience, all lifts, equipment rental centre and chalet are well staffed to offer help and move skiers along to reduce crowding. I love that they offer ski lessons throughout the week instead of just weekends as this offers flexibility to families. Suggestion: in the very near future management will replace the current 70's water fountain with a water bottle/fountain station so it is easier to fill up on water. See more..

  18. 4.0 Devil's Elbow Ski Area (12 reviews)
    - Best Ontario Skiing
    Ski & Snowboard Areas
Uncle Velfrid could have retired years ago but he works tirelessly to make sure Devils Elbow is kept up fun and safe for all skiers. He takes the lifts apart and sends the cables to the US for x-raying to verify their strength. He makes sure to build up a good snow base as soon as the temperatures drop and this is his passion. I am not a skier but my daughter skis here along with so many others that know this is a well managed ski lodge. See more..
  19. 3.5 Mansfield Ski Club (8 reviews)
    - Nice small club and supports local jobs
Spent 1-2 hours Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Mansfield Ski Club image
My family has lived locally for 40 years and the ski hill has never caused us issues. Yes they make snow at night. So does EVERY other ski hill in Ontario. If they ever do build the condos, they have to build a sewage treatment plant and if you need the township reports from Council meetings, even Nottawasaga Conservation Authority has signed off on it. Do you think the people that look after the well being the Pine River would ever agree to it if it wasn’t safe?! The is also the largest employer in the region. I guess the last few people making reviews want their neighbours kids to loss their jobs. See more..

Only the second time every skiing and I loved it!! I did the entire pine loop. It was really challenging but a huge payoff at the end. I think it took us about 5 hours to finish. There is steep downhill sections, but they’re more fun than scary if you take it slow. See more..
