We brought our whole family on the Raft and Reel program and we all had a blast. We had 4 rather young kids on the trip (ages 10-5) and the guides were absolutely fantastic with them. They challenged us to go beyond out comfort level but at the same time made us feel safe and secure the whole time. We learned a lot both on and off the water. Back at camp the food was fantastic and always plentiful. Staff we courteous and really fun. There was more athletic equipment available to use then we had time to experience. We will definitely be back, we would love to do the Raft and Reel again on the sportyaks...can not recommend those more whole heartedly, but we will stay longer if we can. There is tons to do on the compound and we would love to spend more time on the court and in the water. Thanks again to the whole staff and everyone who made our vacation so memorable. Had a great day on a half day excursion. The staff was friendly and welcoming and very caring of the dogs. Instruction was provided and you get to spend time getting to know your team (5 dogs) before you go. They take about 4 sleds with each guide for a more intimate experience and ensure nobody falls behind. Amazing to watch and hear the dogs in action. Two people per sled so most change up driver/passenger at mid point break. Very important to dress for weather conditions. Will definitely take other family and friends for the experience.See more..

Had a terrific 4 day canoe trip into the interior of Algonquin - to Thom THompson Lake. We found the excursion to be just right, challenging but not overwhelming. Beautiful scenery and spotted a moose and some beaver. Our guide, Jordan, was great - informative, interesting, and a great cook, he even played the guitar for us! All in all I highly recommend this trip for all those who enjoy nature and the great outdoors.See more..
Tour booked for three hour cruise with family (7 of us). Mother’s 99th birthday gift to us! It was wonderful, beautiful day to take in all the sites and loads of pictures! Going through the ‘cut’ was very interesting, only 17’ draft as picture shows above. Nice to sit and take in the scenery and relax. Staff was very helpful with our Mom as she uses a walker and finds it difficult to maneuver the gangway. At the end of the cruise they surprised us by announcing her 99th birthday over the com, brought a nice smile to her face. The ship is well appointed, safety issues gone over prior to departure, COVID rules followed and enforced, and staff very informative re history of the area. We booked a 4-day all-inclusive canoe trip with Algonquin Outfitters. From the initial communication online to the return of all our gear at the end of the trip, the staff was friendly, highly competent and attentive. We were 2 parents with three kids (18, 15, 8) and all relatively inexperienced in canoeing. The AO staff explained everything, from portaging techniques to how to effectively pack the backpacks. Equally important, we had an ample amount of food, which was organized on a per meal, per day basis. When we return to Algonquin Provincial Park, we will definitely book again with AO.See more..

We finally returned to Voyageur Quest from overseas after 4 years: minus one child, plus one girlfriend, and both hospitality and the weather didn't let us down. Nor did the internet! The recent addition of internet access may not have kept the e-mails away, that is a matter of pure willpower, but it did allow us to watch Messi's magic, as Argentina easily defeated Croatia in Qatar. Most memorable was the sound of the lake singing and groaning through the night. Thanks so much to John and team for their hospitality. After several weeks of a whirlwind trip through Quebec and Ontario, skiing and visiting family and friends, the boss said this was definitely the highlight and her favourite part of the trip.See more..
Our party used Algonquin Outfitters for our canoe requirements. The booking process online had a mysterious fee. I sent an email to them and it was a booking fee that the third party online booker charges for that convenience. I suggest contacting Algonquin Outfitters directly to book your equipment as it is a pleasant experience and you save the booking fee. Great gear, clean, check in and out was efficient. Returning the gear was seamless (maybe putting the steps on a sign outside might help, but not needed). Friendly faces greeted us at the start and at the end of our paddle.See more..

Our winter hike to the Ice Grotto was absolutely spectacular in all regards. The Georgian Bay scenery was breathtaking. Our guide, Kalee and his assistant, krista were very professional and knowledgeable of the Bruce Trail. During our 4 1/2 hour hike, Kalee provided us with much information about the the history of the area, including his native ancestors that inhabited it. Kalee shared his knowledge of the ecosystem of the trail and we all learned many new facts and concepts. We enjoyed lunch in the protection of the forest where Kalee provided us with delicious cedar tea sweetened with maple syrup. Had another amazing adventure (Cape to coasteering) with these guys. Spatactular 4km walk from Smith's Beach to Wyadup Rock, great views crazy like minded company. At Wyadup we donned our wetsuits and safety gear, then we were off to do some rock hopping and water fun where we got to jump off & run down the rock and drag ourselves out of the water. My friend and I had a very nice time in Algonquin Park during our reading week! The guide was very, very friendly and taught us a lot about canoeing and Canadian wildlife. We went to see beaver dams, the sunrise, sunset, and the moon rise. On the third day, we also saw a beautiful male moose with antlers right next to our campsite. We also fed gray jays and chipmunks right from our hands and the food we had every day was really incredible. The only thing you should really know is that there is no real toilet, shower, electricity, and mobile service at the campsite.See more..
We had the best ATV tour with Lisa and Steve at Outdoors Adventures. We don't have a lot of atv experience but we have been on other tours with other companies, and nothing compares with Outdoor Adventures. Lisa and Steve were only concerned with giving us the ultimate outdoor experience and sharing in the excitement with us. We rode through a culvert, and through a river, and even had the choice to try the mud pit (one of us got stuck, and it wasn't me!). I started this journey by booking a 5 day RAP trip. Unfortunately there were not enough people for this to happen. After talking to Robin he was able to set me up with the 3 day trip on Feb 13th. We all met in the parking lot. The snowmobile I rented showed up on time. I was very impressed on the quality of the snowmobile and it was a perfect fit for me. We left our luggage for it to be brought to the lodge and within a hour of arrival we were on the trails. Scenery was unreal. We went out each day and every day was perfect. Each night we went back to the lodge to relax. No wifi was perfect and we all did the old fashion thing talked to each other. That was refreshing. It was a laidback back experience. We were fed breakfast and dinner. The meals were not fancy just good food and plenty of it. I would like to thank Robin for experience that allows a person shut down and enjoy nature and people. We went with our 12 & 13 year old daughters and had fun with the mini putt and racing. We spent about $90 (incl tax) for the 4 of us - mini putt then in the go karts for 10 minutes. The man who greeted us was so friendly and managed to keep everyone moving from each of the activities so didn't have to wait at all for the mini putt and not for long for the go karts. I just returned from a 1/2 day retreat with lunch and let me tell you it was Incredible~! Deanna is a very welcoming host, she gave us a tour of the property and then off we went. We started our morning with kayaking around the small islands on the other side of the River (they also have a canoe/paddle boat) life jackets, etc... all that you need.... Then after that wonderful experience we went for lunch in the most majestic canopy of trees surrounded by elegant dark netting to keep the bugs away. Now the food... okay.... it was incredible... a "Large" plate comes with a variety of vegetables, cheeses, meat, chicken, shrimp (there is also a vegetarian option), sauces, fresh bread. Away you go cooking your food slowly, enjoying the ambiance all the while having this amazing meal, in this majestic place and a lovely table setting, we are not talking plastic forks or throw away napkins.... 5 Star dinning in the forest. Then dessert, decadent, Best meal I have had out this year yet. You do not leave hungry... there was so much food of such excellent quality... Amazing ~! Now to finish it off we go to the Hot Tub down beside the water, enjoy the spectacular view, nothing between us and nature, followed by light nap on comfortable lawn chairs and then voila it was time to go. My only regret is that I did not book the whole day, and you know what I will do next time, I will spend the night. I heard from Deanna (owner) and then other guests the sunsets are incredible, imagine that from the Hot Tub with a lovely refreshing beverage.
