Fabulous children’s programming in the summer and throughout. Love that it’s free. Also, I appreciate the cafe quality, the diversity in programming for kids, and that children aren’t ever shamed for being kids here. The Canadian National Art Gallery has really become overbearing on security, but I find when I’m at the NAC with children, you’re not disturbed at all and your children are super supported in that environment. Once again the Grand has proven it offers outstanding theatre experiences. Attendants checked proof of vaccination and photo ID. Programs were not passed out and recycled but you received a QR code to read the program on your phone, tablet, ort laptop. I hope this eco-friendly practice continues. We saw the world premier of Grow. If you see only one show this entire season, make sure it is this production. A small cast plays dual roles as Amish community members and Toronto's weed-loving community. Actors are masterful singers and dancers. It is amazing that they can switch so quickly from Amish to Torontonians several times during the show. Having grown up and taught in a rural community with a significant Amish presence, I was gratified to see their lifestyle and values treated with respect in this hilarious yet poignant show. Don't miss out on seeing Grow! See more..

    SilverCity Richmond Hill image
Although super busy n New Year’s Eve, and against my better judgement, I accompanied friends to the Andre Rieu concert on film and loved it. Even when large crowds are present Silver City manages them very well. Our auditorium was only about half full but I did manage to have someone constantly kicking my seat back and narrating the concert to her equally dense friends. I moved away from my friends to sit n the third row which was serene if a bit too close. I like Silver City. See more..
