The resturant is very good but the prices are somewhat expensive nowif you dont have a slots comp. the quantities are huge and well prepared the meatloaf was great with a mound of creamy potatoes and a rich gravy. The stir fry was marginal and very overcooked the veggies were very soft and limp the meat on the otherhand was close to under cooked. Thge slots on the other hand are a total ripoff the chances of winning big have been lowered so far by OLG in most cases that quite often the casino has been fined for under paying. Don't waste your time on the slots the races are more fun.But note with the loss of the casino share will no doubt mark the end of this sport in 2013.See more..

I played Horseshoe Valley golf course several times this year. It’s rather unusual in that it only has 12 holes. I understand that the last 6 holes were damaged somehow. The holes that do exist are well laid out and very challenging. Also, sometimes 12 holes are just enough. I play 3 times weekly and it hard to justify spending 4-5 hours daily on an 18 hole course. The raceway is beautiful, they put alot of money into their raceway, even the grand stands have traughs at the bottom to collect all the cans and garbage people leave behind, their are two baseball fields in the middle of the track, their is a huge TV to display the race standings. The beer is cheap, opening day their were many prize giveaways and a silent auction, the kids can play on the skateboard park, or the older jungle gym, they built an amazing new jungle gym but unfortunetly it wasn't open for opening day. There is a community pool, and a small splash pad for the summer months. Overall it is one of the best small town raceways I've been to.See more..

So we decided the best way to make more memories with him was to go there. My brother, sister and our spouses all decided to go on Sept 15th for the afternoon. I have to say I had so much fun!!! I know nothing about horse racing, nor did I know anything about how to read the stats. My husband and I aren't big gamblers, but this seemed different. My brother gave me a quick lesson and then I was ready to go. I spent on average 6 dollars per race (so not a lot, but just enough to be able to route the horses on and have fun doing it). You can spend as much or the minimum of $2 per race. We can actually say we won 2 races. They have alcoholic drinks available for purchase and food stands to purchase hotdogs, french fries, nachos and cheese, beverages etc. I have to say it was a great time and I felt like my dad was right there with us!!See more..
