Sunset International Speedway with its geographic location being forty minutes from Toronto, the closest motorsports facility to race fans everywhere. Since it’s birth in 1968, Sunset Speedway has produced some of Canada’s top stock car racers. New ownership purchased Sunset Speedway in May 2009. This was an expensive trip. I was expecting more for the money. I drove the Lamborghini for 2 laps. The laps were over in what seemed like 5 minutes. The instructions prior to driving were delivered by someone who was obviously bored. The passenger seat driver was very quiet and offered limited advice. To be really able to take advantage of the rentals, you need many, many laps with better instructions. However, too costly to make that worthwhile. I will be back, but will do hot laps instead to get the most of my money. The track requires protection for all people waiting to drive. The wind was really cold and we were left out in the open for a long time waiting.See more..

This is a wonderful track for both newbies as well as the experienced racers. It is a safe place to learn some performance driving skills as well as to fine tune those skills without risking the dreaded cement or tire walls of the big track at Mosport. I have been coming from Oakville to this track for over 20 years and despite the longer drive, I typically find it enjoyable and still challenging to drive. It is a great track to drive in the rain and also good for bringing just about anything on four wheels. Sure, it is not the most modern of facilities but for the price and experience, it ranks right up there.See more..
I have been coming to this track since I moved to Ontario in 2007 and let me tell you; the Fireball Enduro, presented by Mark's Parts is the best event held at the speedway. If you like racing and a cheap outing; go to the Enduro. Take your family if you want and enjoy a delicious poutine for only $5!See more..
