4.5Kingston Penitentiary Tours(680 reviews) - Went back with the kids and a good time had by all Historical & Heritage Tours • Walking Tours
The tour was very interesting and we really recommend going on it, we also thought it was nice how they had chairs you could sit on while they had people who previously worked there tell us about events and how the prison worked at the time. However we think they should either have a separate tour for kids under 13 or you shouldn't be able to bring them because it ruins the experience for others if the tour guide can't talk about more 'sensitive' topics or go into detail about certain events because of the younger audience. (The last time I went it was a tour bus of older people so the stories were detailed.)See more..

A friend and I came to Kingston for a few days to celebrate Nee Years. We decided on doing the Tapas Tour with alcohol pairing, which turned out to be far better than we expected! Jessica, our tour guide, was fun knowledgeable, passionate, and funny. We learned the foods history along with the restaurant’s history but also learned fun facts about the buildings and the city itself. You would never know we were the last tour for the year, she was a bright burst of energy from start to finish. Thank you :)See more..
5.0Rideau Tours(45 reviews) - Best way to discover the Rideau Canal Sunday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Walking Tours • Gear Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
We booked this tour in March 2021 with Anne-Marie, 4 of us (2 couples) This is the best way to discover the Rideau canal, in kayak. The Rideau canal is not only for the big boats. There is a way to discover it at your own pace without meeting to many motor boats Paddling between the Upper Brewer lock and Newboro lock with a very nice and cosy chalet for 3 nights at Chaffeys Lock. (50 km total) Everything was perfect. Anne-Marie's attention to details is phenomenal. She is fluent in both French and English. Very flexible and understanding of our changing needs throughout the week.See more..

5.0Frost Walks(8 reviews) - Fun and very informative historical walking tour Walking Tours
Guide had spent countless hours researching this topic and came prepared with both stories, laminated photos, and tons of historical info, and weaved all this into a very entertaining 90 minute walking tour! Highly recommended as though I’ve lived in Kingston for over 30 years, I knew virtually nothing about the history of Wolf Island!See more..
5.0Downtown Atikokan Walking Tour(1 review) - Interesting tour with lots of stops! Historical & Heritage Tours • Walking Tours • Sightseeing Tours
I had some free time and decided to do some exploring in Atikokan, this walking tour is a great place to start. There's an app that can guide you through the tour but I did the paper version since they are available in the museum, it was very interesting. The tour takes you through murals, artifacts, and displays all around the town center to explore Atikokans history. A lot of it focuses on mining but there is some other stuff too. I would recommend doing this right before or right after visiting the museum to get the complete experience.See more..
