For those who, like me, come from Italy, looking for and finding a Catholic church for the Sunday celebration is important. Finding an imposing but at the same time welcoming cathedral is even more beautiful. Its history is interesting and the fact that, according to the indications of the city, it must be visible throughout Guelph, must be even more a source of pride for the city.See more..
Its remarkable just how peaceful this place can be in the centre of such chaos and tourist energy. I never miss being here. It was a shame that it was closed off this time. I'm sure they had good reasons but I missed being able to walk around the enclosure.See more..

4.0The Blue Church(35 reviews) - WEDDING AT BLUE CHURCH Religious Sites
Had our wedding here and was a great experience. Such a quaint place to be married. Perfect for small weddings to 60 people, and a great price too! Highly recommend for smaller weddings. The curator even dresses up in 1700's garb and greeted the arriving guests. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no electricity in this church. We used an Ipad and a blue tooth battery powered speaker, perfect for the size of the church!See more..

It is such a unique place to dine, and the food is so yummy. You buy tickets for $7 each and anything off the menu is one ticket. We tried a soup and a noodle dish and both were really tasty. The food also arrived really fast! Also, be sure to try some of the fresh fruit tea (also for one ticket), it is delicious. We can't wait to go back here for lunch.See more..

We attended a summer evening concert here. It was lovely to take a step back in time and listen to some great music. This building has very limited electric lighting, so when the concert was over it was already dark. What a feeling to step back in time! Also, no indoor plumbing available :)See more..

5.0Marylake Augustinian Monastery(5 reviews) - A Hidden Gem Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
I happen to live not to far away from the Monastery, and during the summers, I usually ride close by. I decided to visit it with the intent to take some pictures of it and the surrounding areas late in the summer of 2019. The place is very Holy and you are welcomed to walk the grounds and visit the main building. While I was there, there was an afternoon prayer session, and it was wonderful to hear it going on. I was very respectful not to take any pictures of the mass, but had taken some images prior to it starting. I would recommend this visit - either to enjoy the buildings and grounds or to spend time in a Holy place.See more..

4.5St. Thomas' Anglican Church(2 reviews) - Quintessential small town church - and a beauty Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings • Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
This lovely 1847 church is set in the charming hamlet of Shanty Bay. There aren't any true tourist facilities here, but if you're driving in the area, it's definitely worth a stop. The church's main claim to fame is that it is made of rammed earth - an ancient technique that is making a slight resurgence today. Inside, the stained glass windows are gorgeous. It's not from from the nearby rail trail system, so people can visit here via bicycle as well. There's an old cemetery on the property, as well as beautiful greenspace next door..See more..
