    - Sunflower Experience
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Farms • Farmers Markets
    Pingles Farm Market image
Pingles is doing an amazing job organizing so many fun experiences. We had to reschedule our Sunflower Experience due to thunder & lightening & their customer service was amazing & very accommodating. Two ways I think this could've been better; there seemed to be a lot of people during my time slot so there were constant lines just to get in & for picture spots like the swings & while most people were considerate, there was one lady who ignored the fact that we were all standing in line to access the swings & then pretended she didn't speak english when others tried to explain to her that we were all in one line up. There were 3 workers at the cash register nearby and one person should've been designated to help with the flow of traffic at that spot in particular because it seemed like the most popular. Also, the "free" tarts could've been handed out at the outside stand at the end instead of having to wait in yet another huge line up to get inside the store. We decided it wasn't worth the wait & left. For a family of 5 it cost us $80 which is costly for the overall experience. See more..

    Wendy's Country Market image
Wendy is a remarkable lady, never sat still as long as I've known her. Her market store is without peer in quality of the produce from her own garden, and the way she has curated dairy and protein from the surrounding area is so much more than trendy notions of 'eat local', organic, or whatever is popular today. She's a hub for what's delicious, unique, hard to do, healthy, and sustainable. Wendy is a jewel of food culture in the lower Rideau region. See more..

    Hewitt's Farm Market image
We took our granddaughter to see the Festival of Lights. At a set price per vehicle, it was ideal for our 4 year old granddaughter. There is a lovely little store at the end of the tour, with mostly reasonable pricing for the genre. The light show was so much spectacular as really nice for her age. We intend to return next year with her twin siblings (now 2 and a bit young for this). The one price per family feature is great and you get a coupon for two.free cookies, but some hot chocolate would have been nice too. We will return. See more..

The market is open on Saturdays from 7am until 1pm. Since the market is located next to the OLG Slots, getting in and out of the parking lot is annoying. Farmers Market & Flea Market image
The market is open only on Tuesdays. Outside I bought tomatoes, garlic, onions and asparagus; once I entered the building, I was surrounded by various vendors’ stalls & booths, offering food (very good Polish and Hungarian sausages), cheeses, breads, meats, books as well as all kind of antiques and outdated items that have not become antiques yet! There is also a cafeteria inside. Since we went in May, there were not too many farmers yet, but I was told that in the summer the place is much busier. See more..

    - Excellent trip to Pefferlaw Creek Farms
    Farms • Farmers Markets
    Pefferlaw Creek Farms image
My 3 year old and 1.5 year old had a wonderful time exploring the property and learning about maple syrup production. My son was excited that he got a chance to dump a batch of sap into a bucket (which would later be turned into the syrup). It was a great hands-on experience, the kind that preschoolers really enjoy. Furthermore, with no admission charge, the whole outing was very affordable. We also took some truly fantastic photos in the natural settings, before calling it a day. We purchased an extra large bottle of Amber Maple Syrup and some candies on the way out. I'm sad to say our large bottle it's almost at the bottom - as it tasted fantastic! We will definitely return next year; a new family tradition has begun! See more..
  40. 5.0 Willow Tree Market (3 reviews)
    - Truly Unique Experience All Around
    Farmers Markets
I cannot decide which was better the atmosphere of this unique market, the produce, the prepared food, the Vegan selections or the warm friendly service I get every single time I visit. The prepared food is beyond amazing. The Fatoosh Dressing, Falafels, Hummus and Pita Chips cannot be found anywhere else. I’ve tried to make them at home but they just don’t compare. Their produce is local and so fresh, I am always greeted with a smile and surprisingly they remember little bits of info I’ve shared with them even though I am only in the area in the summer. So, so friendly! The Sweet Room is a fantasy come true and I’ve never had banana bread and carrot cake like that in my life. The atmosphere is fun, bright and cheerful. Truly a gem in a wonderful town! See more..
