This road to get you here is a steady climb in your car which is to be expected. Limited parking and shelter to keep yourself out of rain. Signage and reference points to what the outlook sees towards town and water below. Spoke to several locals and they knew someone that I personally know that taught at the high school down the road. Worth checking out if you are into scenic views plus nature. Good visit for myself and wife as she waited in the car. See more..

My hubby and I spent half a day hiking a few of the trails offered in the park, including the purple and yellow (moderately easy) and the longer, more rugged and difficult blue trail which is just over half a kilometer long with lots of steep but do-able hills and valleys. Not suitable for someone who does not ambulate well. The lookout where the purple and yellow trails converge overlooks a vista of the city below and at this time of year was beautiful with the changing fall colours. The informative posts located throughout the park and along the trails were interesting with facts about the history of the area, the native influence, the lumber industry, its native birds, etc. There are outdoor toilets on site and free parking. A lovely, wofthwhile way to spend some time with nature while in the area. See more..

    Confederation Park image
This beautiful waterfront park in Downtown Kingston has plenty of photo-worthy spots and is a must-see for tourists. Located right across Kingston City Hall, Confederation Park is the home of the "I in Kingston" 3D sign, Engine 1095 locomotive as well as Kingston's Visitor Information Centre. The arch fountain which occupies the centre of the park serves as a good foreground when taking scenic photos of Kingston City Hall. The park also has several full-size illuminated picture frame installations (photo booths) that look spectacular at dusk. There are plenty of benches to sit on. Face the water and you'll get a good view of the marina and the historic Shoal Tower. There is even a cute but fake lighthouse that serves as the Confederation Basin Marina office. See more..

    Elora Gorge Lookout image
A nice day trip to Elora Gorge Lookout, located within less than 2 hours of drive from Toronto (try avoiding motorways on Google Maps). The drive was amazing as the weather was partial cloudy/Sunny and goes through small old towns. The location drops you at the entrance of Victoria Park. The walk towards the water is just 5 minutes and consist of climbing down a stairs made of stone. Feels amazing sitting on the rocks next to the water which flows in between the Gorge. You also get an amazing view of David street bridge from the Gorge. We spend around an hour sitting next to the water. Feels calm and composed and away from the city noise and traffic. My wife and I felt relaxed sitting next to the water after a long work week. Should definitely give it a try. See more..
