Best way to discover the Rideau Canal
We booked this tour in March 2021 with Anne-Marie, 4 of us (2 couples) This is the best way to discover the Rideau canal, in kayak. The Rideau canal is not only for the big boats. There is a way to discover it at your own pace without meeting to many motor boats Paddling between the Upper Brewer lock and Newboro lock with a very nice and cosy chalet for 3 nights at Chaffeys Lock. (50 km total) Everything was perfect. Anne-Marie's attention to details is phenomenal. She is fluent in both French and English. Very flexible and understanding of our changing needs throughout the week.

Your go-to canoe provider for paddling lakes area of the Rideau Canal.
Second time renting a canoe for the day from Rideau Tours to paddle the Rideau Canal system. Anne-Marie and her husband went above and beyond, outfitting us with all that we needed to cover our planned 26km, including pickup at the end (we started Leg 3 of the canal from Chaffey's Lock). I cannot recommend them strongly enough; besides providing quality equipment, their kindness, thoughtfulness and hospitality contributed to the success of our paddling adventure. Do not hesitate to book with them - highly recommended!

What a wonderful way to spend 4 1/2 hours
Monday morning in mid June we drove to Chaffey's Lock to emabark on a 3 lock cruise on a pontoon boat capable of seating 12 persons, well the other 10 persons were noshows so Captain Luc took us out on a memorable trip on the Rideau through 3 locks. A facinating time with this knowledgeable and affable man who knew where all the local sites for wildlife were and the ownership and history of many of the houses/cottages along the banks of the river and lakes. We had a gourmet picnic at Jones Falls Lock and visited the area on foot spending about 1 1/4 hours before getting back on the water and heading back to Chaffey's Lock. I can reccomend this as a worthwhile experience to all, single, couple or family and anybody needing assistance can be catered for as well . Although we took only one of the tours there are two more and we will return to take those over the summer. Thanks Captain Luc.
